I don't mind seeing the Nets winning as a Knicks fan unless its against us. I liked watching them play back in the early 2000s with Jefferson, Kmart, Kidd, Kittles and others.
And the current Dodgers still own the rights... Most people now associate that version of the B with the Red Sox... Had to come up with something unique and the plain looking B is it... Deron Williams is leaving so who are the Nets going to trot out there to make people want to buy tickets?
Never did I say that the Dodgers didn't own the rights. I said if I could make a change that would be it. and most people... I see people wearing Brooklyn Dodgers hats pretty much every day here, and that's the target demographic.
So the Jersey's are just black and white with no third color? I like the logo with Brooklyn New York...That's a good one.
Jerseys will be revealed in September. I'm guessing no third color. And the one that says Brooklyn New York is my favorite as well. That will be the center court logo at the Barclays Center.
I would definitely think some would switch...if the Nets put out a good team. Who knows if we will, but this is exciting. Im sad the Nets left Jersey, and I will forever hate Bruce Ratner, but I like the new logo, keeping the shield logo, and I am really curious how these jerseys look.
The Barclays Center is so close to me that it's gonna be hard for me not to take an interest in them.
Logos for NBA teams are pretty meaningless anways The logo won't be on the jersey other than a small logo on the shorts. The uniform will make a or break the Nets new branding. Both the home and away jersey will say Brooklyn not the Nets kind of like how both the Knicks jerseys say New York. I think they should go with the script in this t-shirt for the jersey.
There will be lots of people torn on this... I immediately think of the the Beastie Boys... huge basket ball fans, huge fans of the Knicks... but also connected to Brooklyn. The draw of Brooklyn runs deep in so many people because of it's mythical status in NY and America. Wonder if guys like that will cross over (no pun intended). Surely after a couple of cross town playoff series the lines will be drawn and you won't hear anybody talking about supporting both teams anymore. Personally I've never fully identified with the MSG crowd, so while I like the Knicks I can't really say I bleed for them. I loved Bernard King and the teams of the 80's but as somebody born in a white Irish Catholic home I supported the Celtics too in my early days. I'm also not old enough to remember the Nets on Long Island so I can't say I have much love for them either. I'm basically an NBA mutt so I guess I'm exactly who the Brooklyn Nets are trying to win over. And what happens to the 5 New Jersey Nets fans that showed up everynight? Do they go to the 76'ers of the Knicks?

This is the shirt I got. (well, the logo) I love it personally, its just too bad this is the only one of three at my local Modell's that I'd wear and that they even had on display.
That uniform is def gonna b loved by both hipsters and gangstas. I like it but New York is a Knicks town.
I thought they might go back to their ABA style uniforms with a Brooklyn twist added to them, given they were very successful as the New York Nets. Anything is better than what they were doing.
