That is not true it was a team effort , everyone deserves credit including Tebow . My reference was only about Denver's offense

That is true that the NFL players voted him top 100. It is also true that a HOF QB that appeared in 5 SBs, won 2, and is in the conversations one of the greatest to play the game at the QB position could not ship Timmy out of town fast enough.

It is also true that Timmy chose to be a backup instead of going to Jacksonville to compete for the starting job. The FO has done every PR move possible to make sure everyone is aware Timmy is the backup, even to the point of going to the press to tell everyone he will be o the punt team.

That doesn't take away from the players voting for Tebow straight out of their ass. If Tebow's on the list Sanchez should be at least 15 spots higher. Bottom line end of story. There's no logical reason for it. They are voting for media and popularity reasons, not NFL football reasons. Tebow might be a good jack of all trades type player, but he hasn't done enough, to make the list while a guy that has 55 career passing TDs and been to 2 AFC championship games in 3 years is overlooked because of 3 poor games at the end of last year while injured. If having the 5th most total touchdowns in the league isn't enough to make the top 100, I don't know what is.

Let me also state a fact. The ones who voted for him are idiots or biased.

I am not sure what your point is. I like Sanchez and feel this move will make him a great player this year and he will start. I also think Tebow will be used properly and will be a beast at many different positions.

This thread is about NFL players voting Tebow in as one of the top 100 best players in the NFL for 2011

Just an FYI, this isn't a "Sanchez v Tebow" debate. That said, Sanchez didn't get his team to the playoffs last year. Sanchez didn't have 6 game winning drives last year. Sanchez didn't hang 316 yards on the Steelers last year.

BUT, Tim Tebow did, and that is probably why he is on this list and Sanchez isn't.

Another thing to note is that this list doesn't appear to be a "Top 100 Active Players based on their entire career" list. It's very much a "what did they do last year" thing.

This is evidenced by the fact that, last year, Eli Manning wasn't even on the list even though he already had 1 SB to his credit.

Okay phew you have been a great poster and I got worried you resorted to the brainless tebow arguments I have seen on here before

Just FYI. Tebow will be watching Sanchez from the sidelines all year. The bottom line is we don't give a rat ass what Tebow did for Denver. This is the Jets and Tebow hasn't done shit for us yet. Plus like I said before I would bet Tebow will be the 3rd string QB when season starts.

No not at all... I just hate it when all u Tebow nuts come on here and act like he done something in this league. U can't find one team who will even give Tebow a chance to become a starter in this league.

You are Tebow nut also, you just do not realize it yet. You are as crazy as the people you dislike just i the exact opposite direction.

Tebow is no where near as bad as you say.

He will not be on the bench all year as Ryan has said he will have a package.

He will help your team win games.

I'm willing to bet that there are plenty of QBs on that list that didn't make the playoffs last year. All I'm saying is that Sanchez had a better season than Tebow last year, and it's apparent when you look at the stats. We're talking TOP 100. Sanchez should be on the list, with the 5th most total touchdowns in the NFL, and better stats than Tebow in all categories except rushing yards and turnovers, and they tied in rushing TDs.

Read above. Sanchez had a better year than Tebow, despite missing playoffs.

Kuhn doesn't blow people up. He's a good player that doesn't excel at anything; decent runner, decent receiver, decent short yardage runner, etc.

He took part in less than 50% of the Packers' offensive snaps, and as PK pointed out, has taken part in less than a third of their offensive snaps the last three years.

The PB? Seriously? You do know that Raji made it and even GB fans thought he sucked donkey dick last year.

And you'll have to excuse me for not liking the fact that the 8th leading rusher was named as one of the twenty best players on a number of ballots.

What is the vote based on? I doubt it's just last year. Romo plays in six games in 2010 and clocks in at #72. In 2011, plays in every game albeit dinged in quite a few, has one of his most efficient years as a pro and drops twenty spots?

It's a dogshit list. Each top 20 should have some combination of these players on it:

    Rodgers
    Brees
    Eli
    Romo
    Stafford
    Brady
    Megatron
    Fitz
    Welker
    Cruz
    S. Smith
    Nelson
    Gronk
    Graham
    MJD
    Rice
    McCoy
    Peters
    Brown
    Myers
    Mangold
    Yanda
    Evans
    Nicks
    JPP
    Allen
    Ware
    Suggs
    Ngata
    J. Smith
    Bowman
    Willis
    Cushing
    Joseph
    Revis
    Rogers
    Finnegan
    E. Thomas
    Chancellor
    Weddle

That's roughly my list of 2011's standout players. That's not even taking into account a guy like Aldon who had a limited role, but excelled at it.

I'd love to see the argument for dropping over twenty of those guys from that list in favor of John "all he does is blow people up" Kuhn.

But yeah, the players would be able to make that argument since they know, right?

Me a Tebow nut? Now that funny. What I don't like about Tebow is his nuts that fellow him. I will say you are not near as bad as most. Here another problem ill have... Sanchez will play a great game and when we get down on the goaline and they bring Tebow in and he scores every Tebow nut will over look what Sanchez did and want to give Tebow the credit for the win.

The sad thing is that I don't have a problem with TT as a top 100 guy based on last year.

Most of the time it was ugly, but he won games in dramatic fashion. Add the phenomenon that followed and it's understandable.

But you'll never convince me Kuhn should be anywhere near that list.

Bud your the same, just the other side of the coin.

saying he really sucks and is terrible is the exact same thing as saying his the best QB ever. Both are crazy.

Crazy is as crazy does bud.

It's a real shame you really don't have an argument.
