I would love to have him return, however I don't think he would play for what the Jets would offer.

He was paid around 1 million last season and now he's rehabbing an injury. Braylon would be delusional if he thinks he's worth anything close to what Holmes is getting now.

It's tough to say. I think Kerley looked ready for a bigger role by the end of last year, and we brought in Schilens, but I don't think I have any faith in him staying healthy. I think if we bring Braylon in, it will probably be a bit later on, when we have a sense of the learning curve for some of these guys.

It doesn't appear he's healthy yet, so we can probably wait on this.

You have to remember that most teams carry 5 WRs and one or two play on special teams. Who would be our special teams WRs ? If Hard Knocks taught anything, it is that the bottom of the roster is filled with special teamers, not 4 and 5 WRs who are going to play 5 plays on offense a game and catch a handful of passes all year. Is Edwards a special team player ?(no), Hill? (no) Schilens (no). I don't think Edwards is coming back.

I think he's definitely an option to sign. Who knows what Schillenz is going to do. Braylon could probably be the 3rd receiver. I would like to see him back in green & white, the more weapons the merrier.

No. Even if he comes cheap Braylon's just not needed. Hill will be getting snaps to stretch the field & Kerley was making good progress last season. Keller lines up as a TE but he's basically a WR.

Holmes+Kerley+Hill+Keller = 4 receivers already. Why not add add some depth to the TE or OL with the roster spot. Positions on the roster shouldn't be given away so easily.

Edwards isn't just coming off big surgery, he got very little playing time before injury so it's been 2 seasons ago since he was last productive.

Ha too funny. I think there is no chance Braylon is coming back now. Kerley is our slot receiver. Santonio and Hill/Schilens will be our 2 and 3. No need for Braylon we have other places we need help before WR now. Braylon might not even be good to come back after last year.

It can't hurt to have him around while Hill is developing and Schillens is hopefully improving and not getting injured. We could use another guy for depth. Braylon is that guy that can come in and hold down the fort if need be, and its possible he could have a major impact if he gets healthy and returns to form. We should offer him a cheap deal if possible.

If you can get him dirt cheap then by all means but if he wants a few million a year then we are better off spending it on the line or a safety.

fuck yes we do. that "plethora" only has one proven receiver in it. BE would be a huge upgrade of what we currently have if healthy.

Ummm....I guess you can say that I'm one of those who can't remember Braylon "burning bridges" with the Jets. The only thing he was guilty of was asking for more money(which was all given to Holmes). Not something we don't see involving other athletes.

Unless you have a different version of what "burning bridges" is.....

Ironic is your statement considering we have the King(or is it Queen?) of the Divas on our Team currently.

Braylon is a friggin' Angel in comparison...

How did he burn bridges? The Jets stated they were interested, Braylon said he was interested ... sounds like there is a bridge there somewhere.

Hill is extremely raw, and we have to be ready to wait before he can an everydown player. Which is fine really with the upside the kid has. Why not bring back Edwards on a 1 year contract at the vet minimum. Gives Sanchez back a target he liked, and gives Hill a chance to learn how to be a receiver at the pro level.
