After drafting defensive end Quinton Coples in the first round, then Hill and Davis on Friday, Tannenbaum was in a jovial mood. "I want to go out on a limb here and make a bold prediction. Tomorrow, in the fourth round, we are going to aggressively go after an athletic, back-up, left-handed quarterback," he told reporters. He was joking, we think. http://www.nfl.com/draft/story/0900...stephen-hill-has-a-chance-to-start-right-away
I think he should go for it. Not having addressed the much discussed tackle and RB issue in this draft so far, maybe a bruiser QB can beat up opposing defenses enough to give Mark another tick or two.
Don't get me wrong. It's an amazing draft. We just got Coples, Hill, a great situational LB with tons of upside, and Tim Tebow. Anybody that thinks Tanny's draft grade this year is anything but A+ is literally retarded. Just keep in mind that this was our 4th round pick. 37% as valuable as our 3rd round pick, who nobody has ever heard of before. Call it 60% as valuable when you consider the extra cash we had to give for him in addition to the pick. But don't call Stephen Hill Tebow's guy. Don't call the Jets Tebow's future team. Call a therapist.
Don't get ME wrong. I'm NOT the one doing the CALLING. I was feeding your monster. Getting Mark back on the field, getting him another killer target, and a few ticks gets at the very lease an A+.
