Not totally clueless. I don't visit sportsline. The intel I saw on him had him as a potential 5th round "value".

My bigger issue is: good luck finding a starting caliber RT in the 6th and 7th rounds. Get ready to watch turnstiles Hunter and Ducasse get abused weekly.

He'll play inside on passing downs. He can stick with a tight end if he has to, and that's where he has a huge advantage over Bart Scott. And when he's not in coverage, he can get after the QB or chase down run plays from the back side. Versatile.

Just read a tweet that said Davis was Westhoff's favorite special teams player

WE got a guy who will be a very good player for us but I question the motive for passing over a glaring need at RT. I understand Kiper had OLB as a big need for us but we watch this team every week. We know that RT was the biggest need coming in but I really like Davis regardless of what the bloggers who run websites think. Mayock also had him in the top 85 picks and we got him at 77, not this huge reach people are screaming about. Davis is going to be a very good player.

This guys seems to be the Stephen Hill of Linebackers. He ran a super high 40 time and lead all LB's in bench press.

Did you just hear Kiper? He said this is a great pick, that had this kid played in a major conference, he's a first rounder. Ran a great time, huge bench press, great vertical,,, had a great season. Versitile. Nothing not to like. They weren't getting a starting OL here,, something is up with Massie, he's still out there.

Yes, they need it so badly on D. This will be the guy who can help cover tight ends.

The scary thing is this guy might end up being a very good player. This was a very good pick.

And all this stuff about right tackle... They still can make a trade for one or sign a FA.

That is very scary for pessimist Jets fans haha.

He looks good, I would have rathered O line, but it seems the FO has a plan of making the defense younger and faster

The Jets need a right tackle in the worst way, but just because they didn't take one here doesnt make this pick bad.

Exactly. Personally I don't see anyone on the board who could've stepped in and started (effectively) from day one, so I don't see the harm in adding someone who can help the team this season with a 3rd rounder and finding a project later on.

This guy will be playing OLB...so it will not be the end to Scott.
