4.5 speed from a LB. Blazing fast. Also just read his Scout report on ESPN, and it gave him an 'exceptional' grade against a run. Could be our younger Bryan Thomas.

Not an awful player but I don't understand the pick. The kid is a player but I don't see a fit unless somebody ie Scott/Pace is going to the chopping block. I see him as a 4-3 guy but I really like him as a player. Think he could be good but I'm a tad confused as to why.

I guess maybe they're targeting the tackle from Columbia later or Jake Long's brother

You might think WTF with this pick, but this guy has the potential to be a very good starting OLB for the Jets. He ran a 4.5 and he was the strongest linebacker in the bench press reps. He can rush the passer, tackle well, and has the speed to be good in coverage.

He really doesn't have many weaknesses. The only weaknesses that I see from him is the small school label and that his coverage is poor, but with 4.5 speed, he can learn to play good in coverage. Seems like a very solid pick to me.

I would have rather had Miller or Massie just like others, but this is a smart pick.

So we pass on a great prospect at RT, great RB and solid Safety... for a MLB. Thats absolutely brilliant.

The 4-3 requires at least one LB with the skills to cover a TE. It's not a bad move given the situation with the Pats.

Well I got my 2 front seven guys in the 1st 3 rounds albeit not the exact guys I wanted.

    I'll take it for now.

Looks like he has potential (lit up the combine) and has had success (1st team sun belt conf)... I question the positional value though.

Next time we pick there won't be anyone even close to Hunter's ability left, so we are stuck with a shitty RT.

    ...

Exactly. I'm willing to believe in the staff's opinion of this guy, and I'm looking forward to being surprised by him (hopefully). But to luck into Massie and not take him?

Jets needed pass rush. Coples. Jets needed another receiver. Great potential in Hill. Jets desperately needed to replace Wayne Hunter. No Massie. Frustrating.

Everything I just quickly read on him stated he has superior athleticism and can match up one on one with any TE/slot WR and hold his own

So who is playing safety? No 4 or 5 round pick. Another year of watching smith get burned?

Not a bad draft at all. Would have been a really good draft if the Jets held onto their 5th.

Expect a lot of 4-2-5 this year. He's a nickel linebacker.

this team doesn't have a FREE SAFETY

this team doesn't have a RIGHT TACKLE

this team doesn't a back up RUNNING BACK

they don't make this pick if they took Ingram over Coples
