Respect goes out to Johnny4 for calling this spot on earlier today:

After watching all my favorites get taken earlier in round 2 I'm glad we traded up to snag him. The only disappointing thing is that since we only have a round 3 pick and then have to wait for the end of round 6 and 7 for garbage picks (we have no round 4 pick) our draft is almost over AND we'll most likely miss out on Nick Toon. :(

The Rams took a WR with the 1st pick of the 2nd round, so they could have had Hill if they really wanted him.

That said, this looks like a solid pick for the Jets

I would like to see a stat on how many times he was targeted, and how many of those attempts were actually catchabe. I would also like to see how many dropped passes he has. We all know that was Braylons downfall. That is the one area I hope he isn't like Braylon.

Hill is a fit in the Option the Jets will be running with Tebow. Fast, big and will make most CB's play off of him because of the speed.

Now we have no 4th and no 5th.

NE gave up just a 4th to move up more significantly in the 1st.

At least we *technically* gave up less value on the trade chart than was required (although I'm not sure why a 5th alone didn't do it unless Seattle was hesitant to move down)...

are you crazy! the guy runs a 4.36 40 and is 6-5. If he would have stayed in school he would be a middle first round pick. Who gives a crap about a 5th and 7th. Unbelievable

    - offensive minded teams can take offensive developmental players. Same for defensive teams.

when a defensive team takes a developmental player on offense with 2 average quarterbacks I wonder if he will grow or be stunted

Though I do understand the plan is to use him as a blocker and field stretcher....s

Braylon who? Looks like this kid has soft hands, adjusts to shitty passes very well and is a beast blocker. I like this pick a lot.

Great pick, option offense limited his touches.

Last GT receivers? Calvin Johnson and Demaryius Thomas.

Quite like this one. Welcome Hill - and as they said in the broadcast, he sure looks like he's happy to join the JETS and will probably give all he got. Also liking the fact that he'll be used with doing the majority of his work as a blocking WR coming from GT (and again, seems happy with it).

Now we're just desperate for a RT and a Safety... one of which will be solved outside of the draft, I sincerely hope.

I'm not that big on your guy Sanchez, but if this guy can get behind the D, Mark throws a really nice long ball. They really missed that sans Edwards this past season.

Me too. Wasn't he originally a late 1st or early second? I remember first hearing about him and not being too impressed with his stats but liked what I saw from the combine. I never really saw any film on him until now.

Jets fans will never be happy with any decision.

I like the Hill choice and could careless about having to give up picks to get him. Yes losing the 5th round pick stings, but it's not going to make or break our team. If your complaining about that than you really don't understand football. We are addressing needs but no one said we were going to fix everything in one draft.

Maybe just maybe we will have to make due in some spots and have faith in our coaching staff to fix what went wrong last year. Do we improve moderately in all spots or improve greatly in some of our biggest need spots?

Yup, which opens up some running lanes.
