Hill is a first round talent who suffered from playing in a running oriented offense. The hacks on ESPN kept comparing his numbers to Blackmon who played in a spread offense. He's on a different level than Randle, Sanu and Jeffrey. We should be excited to welcome a legit number 2 receiver out of the gate, and a tall deep threat that we sorely lacked last season.

Stephen Hill was widely mocked as being a late first round pick and is a great selection by the Jets

Would have preferred a OL pick and Toon in the next round but even so this is a very solid selection.

Bit concerning that we now have no 4th or 5th round picks to get some RB depth or similar - I am guessing we go OL in rd 3 and take a flyers on a safety prospect in the 6th round.

Maybe Hill can use that long frame to help Wayne Hunter get up after every play.

    ...

There are some melodramatic mental cases on here. "THIS IS THE WORST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO THE JETS IN THE HISTORY OF THE FUCKING WORLD!!!"

You can't let our 6'4, 215 lbs. 4.3 speed WR get off the stage before having a stroke on a message board? Lighten up Francis(es).

The jets are getting good players that fits the offensive system they are trying to implement. How can our members not understand this? A WR who can stretch the field and block.

This is a good draft for what we need, relax guys.

Jets going boom or bust... I dont mind i swear some of u guys swear these day 3 are supposed stars already its a fucking 5th and a 7th who cares. Btw the way this draft is thinking Vontaze a little later. I would have preferred Jeffery but again the potential for Hill is GREAT!!!

Pretty awesome pick. I literally just woke up with the Jets on the clock and was like holy shit, Stephen Hill is still on the board. I think Tanny moved up because he saw Upshaw, Glenn, and Martin go and he didn't want to miss out on a great first round talent like Hill.

Any chance we move back into the second? I absolutely love Hill and I think Tanny has got to be thinking quality over quantity right now. Curry is still on the board.

This kid had 802 yards on TWENTY-EIGHT catches, and can block...I'm happy with that pick!

Yeah I would really like to see us pick up another RB, but if the first two rounds are any indication- we'll take whoever the BPA is in the third, regardless of position.

I am totally cool with this pick and the price we paid to move up. Hill is raw, but you can't teach that kind of speed at that size, and the production he had in an option offense

The Jets pick of Stephen Hill is a HUGE reach in my eyes. He is a height, weight, speed guy who is very raw & a long ways away.

We filled 2 of our biggest needs a deep threat WR and a pass rusher. We had a pretty good draft. Im hoping we can get a good OLB or OT next. Maybe RB?? Looks like we're gonna have to sign Jimmy back as our Safety since we most likely wont be getting a quality one in the draft.

If we can somehow get Trumaine Johnson now (crosses fingers, closes eyes and looks above)

Anyone want to place bets on which basketcase the Seahawks are about to draft?

    I'm going Bryan Anger.

Disagree. Before the combine he wasn't on anyone's board. We all say how the draft process shouldn't drastically change ap layers grade... and then this happens. FML

I'm usually on board with the Jets pick but so far this draft is disaster for me...
