so you can note the usual sarcasm

    http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/jets/post/_/id/12147/mcelroy-clarifies-inflammatory-remarks

Three months after he ripped the "corrupt mindset" in the Jets' dysfunctional locker room, backup QB Greg McElroy tried to explain what he meant with comments that became big news.

"I mean, I think it just started going out of control and really what I was trying to say was I was trying to reinforce the fact that I had so much faith in the organization,” McElroy told the New York Post and The Star-Ledger of Newark Friday during an appearance at Dwight Morrow High School in Englewood, N.J.

"I thought we would have a great year the following year because of everything we'd learned from. I have full faith in Rex Ryan and full faith in Mike Tannenbaum. I love being part of this team and I love being part of the Jets organization, it's a first-class organization from top to bottom and I'm so, so fortunate to be a part of it."

    Just spin, baby.

After the season, McElroy created unwanted headline by dishing to a radio station in Birmingham, Ala. A refresher:

"It's definitely not a fun place to be, I can assure you," he said of the Jets' locker room. "It’s the first time I've ever been around extremely selfish individuals, and I think that’s maybe the nature of the NFL. But there were people within our locker room that didn’t care whether we won or lost, as long as they got their ... they really had good games individually. That's the disappointing thing, and it's going to take a lot to kind of come together."

    Ah, memories.

Greg- it's time to just be quiet, we know what you meant and we know you shouldn't have aired it out. Just stay quiet and move forward.

Yes. He's a smart kid and I can only imagine that it was a pretty miserable place for him to be in his first season, thinking "is this what it's like in every NFL locker room?". But he should shut up now, see that everyone has moved on, make whatever peace he needs to with people internally and get on with winning a place in the 53.

I never faulted him for what he said but let's just move forward and only look to the past to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Trying to save his roster spot I see. Cut his talkative ass and pick up Kellen Moore with a compensatory draft pick

It's good that he cleared this up, but the damage is already done

Perhaps he knows that the Jets are looking QB in the next couple rounds.
