Coples and Mo Wilk setting the edge. gonna be scary. I hope Coples has good speed because that's what we lacked big time last year. We couldnt set the edge at all with Devito last year.

OK jets fans, lets not jump off the ledge quite yet. Sure, most of us expected Ingram with the pick, but we have to trust in Rex and the jets scouting. This guy has all the tools to be an elite sack artist, now we just have to rely on Rex and the rest of the staff to get him to that level.

He looks like Peppers but where the hell is he going to play? Are we changing to a 4-3?

Also a lot of people passed and are continuing to pass on Ingram. A lot of teams must not have liked him.

Other than possibly being an underachiever, is there any other flaw about this guy? I haven't read any. Talent seems unquestioned.

Maybe playing in the ACC at UNC with the sanctions, he was like "fuck this."

I've honestly never watched tape on him. Low effort is not a good knock to have.

Still, it's Rex fucking Ryan. If he knows one thing on earth besides feet its defensive front 7.

Not sure how I feel about the pick. Hope he works hard and becomes the best he can possibly be.

Ran a 4.78 40 which is pretty good for an OLB especially one with his size. Edit: apparently his 40 yard low time was 4.67 Thats unreal for someone his size.

SD just picked up a pretty good DE. Would've been nice to see him in green & white.

I'm concerned about his tendency to take plays (games) off and his lacking a passion for football.

This is shit I just don't like reading after we take Coples:

“Here’s my deal with Coples,” Mayock said in response to a question from The Observer Wednesday at an NFL pre-draft event. “I’ve never liked his [game] tape [from his final season at North Carolina]. I wouldn’t draft him. But I do recognize the talent. He showed it at the Senior Bowl when he was motivated. I get nervous when guys have bad senior-year tape but great Senior Bowls. It tells me there’s a money drive there…. He’s a boom-or-bust guy. He can be an All Pro, and I don’t deny his talent… I just say ‘Buyer beware.’”

I'm fucking furious with this pick... you wanna know why we haven't won a fucking thing in 40+ years? because we continue to make the same mistakes over and over and over again. Shit on Mangini all you want as a coach but he understood you win with OL. The last thing this team needed was a guy who takes plays off and disapeers for long stretches.... un fucking real.

Coples is gonna be a huge upgrade from Devito so its not a bad pick at all...

    Don't know about that.

Cmon man. The just run a lot of 4-3 sets.

And though Rex runs a 3-4 base he's always showing other formations.

Jets will be taking Burfict in round 3......

Don't care about the motor or discipline or a player but rather look for the boom or bust guys.
