    1st Round Jets Pick Coples.

What do you guys think about Quinton Coples?

A Gholston Bust or a great pass rusher?

I was expecting us to take Coples if no other high ranked DE were on the board, but we had the pick of the litter and picked this guy.

He was my pick a week ago when I read the Draft news paper on the plane flying home from Ft L.

    Good luck!!!!@

He was the #1 pass rusher in the draft. Best tools and most proven in one package. Rex must have really clicked with him at the pro day and the visit.

It's kind of amazing that he fell to 16. The Jets got huge value but attached to the attitude risk.

Wow, didn't think we would take Gholston 2.0. We should have got Reiff or Ingram.

I don't know anything about college football and scouting and I doubt anyone on this board knows more than Rex and the scouts so I'm going to approve it and hope for nothing but success. That said, this has Gholston 2.0 written all over it. Hope I'm wrong though

Yeah all the pundits are talking about his motor and how it dropped off. I remember reading reports this past week that Coples may have dropped off his last year on plays to avoid getting hurt.

I'm just so fearful of the attitude situation and falling into the Gholston trap.

They painted a pictures that he's lazy, and lacks motivation. That's make me very uneasy.

I feel whoever the Jets would have taken, people would call him Gholston 2.0

I really really hope this isn't gholston v2.....

Leadership will be key to keep this guy working his ass off.

Didn't Gholston play well for 1 season. Coples had a couple of good years. Rex also a proven great defensive coach who worked him out 1 on 1 and took him over Ingram and Chandler Jones.

Was very surprised he was available but have to like the pick. I don't think it was a need but maybe the BPA. Welcome to the Jets Quinton.

People, Rex knows defense. Every mock I had in front of me had him going top 10.

    Physical beast.

I thought Ingram was a player. But perhaps Coples is more physically talented.

In general going into the draft if someone told me we would walk out of the draft with Coples and not have to trade up I would say "Do it."

But, I think Ingram would have been the better pick. Knowing he was available and we didn't take him bothers me. But I guess we'll find out.

Lucas and Schein, especially Schein guaranteed they weren't taken him. What a miss by them.
