I'm skeptical as to why the Eagles would take Gilmore after just trading Samuel.

Sure hope Mayock is dead wrong. Floyd is not what we need have to get someone to get at Tom Brady or at the very least stop those two TE. Can't see Floyd coming out of the box and making an impact heck he probably couldn't beat Kerley out for a spot. Then with all the talk about Braylon coming back this would be a wasted pick. Really like Mayock but hope his prediction is wrong.

What are you talking about? Kerley is our slot receiver.....

Floyd would be competing with CHAD FREAKING SCHILENS

We cannot expect Sanchez to succeed and prevent the season to become the Tebow sideshow with Holmes the malcontent and Schilens on the outside.

I don't think I agree with you on anything you just said. Floyd is a huge time impact player and is much much better then Kerley. HE is the deep threat we need and is better then Braylon for sure. He will make an impact on whatever team he goes to right away.

I would love FLoyd if he fell to us. He is a game changer and a perfect weapon to match with Holmes.. he is also a good blocking WR as well. If people think they have to worry about us running the ball on them then when you add Holmes, Floyd, Keller and Kerley...you a lot more than the run to worry about...

If we go FLoyd we can see if Curry or Branch falls..or Harrison Smith or Tremaine Johnson..

We can't forget how big of a hole we have at WR right now..it would sure up the position for years to come and he we are also getting the BPA...

We are in a good position this year..regardless

If the board fell like this I'd want Decastro at 16 and then use our second third and our 5th or 6th to get back into the first for Upshaw, Perry, or Hightower

Really expecting a lot for a rookie WR to come in and make an impact for the Jets. For a team with 2 QB who can't throw drafting a WR for his blocking prowess is a waste at 16. You can bring back Braylon for that plus he is the only WR that had chemistry with Sanchez. Better to look at other areas that the Jets could use help and they are many.

That's not enough ammo to move up from mid-2 to late-1... It would either take our 2 and 3 or our 2, virtually all of our other picks, and a player the other team is interested in.

Manish "the new Cimini" Mehta thinks taking Floyd is a huge mistake.

Personally, I think he's talking shit.

Couldn't disagree more with Mehta. He's starting to get on my nerves.

yeah I said 2nd and third plus a late rounder, and I'd be completely okay with that, if we could leave the draft with Decastro and Hightower, I'd much rather have that than two less impact players in the second and third round, then we could use our abundance of late rounders and udfa's for depth.

I see our needs right now as Safety, OL, WR, LB

Hightower fills the need for LB, Decastro boost the OL, not the RT spot per say but as a whole him next to Mangold would be nasty

Next years safety class is going to be strong, so I'd rather use a stop gap there (something like Laundry, Leonard, Smith, maybe a guy like Hardin) for this year, then look for a long term safety next year

LB - I think Hightower is a perfect fit for us as a LB, he can play anywhere, and with a defense with as many looks it's great to have someone who can move around and keep the offense guessing

WR - we have Holmes now and Kerley is good in the slot, if Braylon is healthy he can help us there without having to use a high draft pick, or in a deep WR draft we could also hit on a late pick at WR, looking around the league, WR seems to be one of the easier positions for mid to late round guys to have an impact

also it doesn't matter who our WRs are if the line can't protect Sanchez, so I'd want the line fixed first

    That's just my thinking

The Jets need to go defense I think.

That's where the biggest need is.

Is there that much drop off after Floyd and maybe Kendal Wright?

I'd love to see Floyd drafted there. If he shines, Holmes has to straighten up and fly right or GTFO of Florham Park.

There is no way he makes it to 16, but I will gladly eat crow if he does.

We all enjoy playing GM - just look at this forum. However, I object to fuckwit beat writers using their articles/tweets as mouthpieces for what they think Jets should do. Cimini is the worst but Manish is quickly gaining ground.

Next week: Jenny Vrentas on why Vlad should be starting QB.

You're right. I misread it as second and fifth or sixth.
