Good thing we didn't have to send Gee or anyone else out there against Lincecum. It would have been a slaughter. Oh well, it's hope we can win the night game and split the series.

Could Davis be any worse with risp ??? I mean jesus just one hit....its not asking much..
can we please promote Zach Lutz now..

Anyway Gee shows what he is which is a slightly above average AAA pitcher with nothing really standout to make him a pemanent big league player....

In more positive news Harvey and Familia have both settled down in AAA..by August we may actually have 2 potential stars to watch

That's a bit harsh on Davis and Gee don't you think? Two 25 year old players with only one full seasons experience in the pro's under their belts. Sure they are off to rough starts and have flaws.... but it's April dude, and they've both earned a chance with the club so let's not write them off already!!

I am not writing Davis off far from it but I do feel ( see my possible trade bait post in Feb) he is over ratedbut we need someone to drive in runs and he is in a key position and at the moment he makes Bay look like Pujols.....he needs a break to get back to basics as his swing is so off balance its sad to see him so out of touch...problem is we have so many average bench players that promoting a Lutz type means someone is basically released as I don't believe Turner has any options.

Ref Gee..he is not a long term starting pitcher imo..that may be harsh but he lacks any stellar ball in his arsenal.again its all about opinions.he is a borderline no 5 in an average rotation... he will contribute but I just feel that by July/August he will be optioned back to Minors.

Now Pelfrey is going on the DL. WTF is wrong with this damn team? It's insane what happens to this team when it comes to injuries. Odd thing is I'm so over Bay & Pelfrey, but sill. It's insane how these guys get hurt.

bay one of the worst signings in the past few years

mets were clearly rebuilding so they go and give a guy past his prime a five year big money deal

    what could go wrong?

Vesting option for a 5th year.

I can't believe that clown is getting $16.5 million a year.

The ballpark is empty. Santana vs Johnson. Reyes first game back. Which people don't seem to care about. I still would have thought more people would have shown up.

I think it's great that nobody gives a damn that Reyes came back. The problem, of course, is that nobody gives a damn about the team.

Francisco shockingly doesn't blow the save and the Mets take it 2-1.

yes but that will be costly so it makes it even worse. 4 years, over 70 million?

as for reyes, of course the mets made the right decision in not bringing him back, but I wish they would've traded him, considering the last few seasons this team has not been quality

How about this awful stat? The Mets have scored exactly ZERO runs while Santana has been in the game. In 4 starts 3 of them quality they have failed to plate one dam guy while he was on the mound.... unreal

To be fair, at this early point in the season, Sanatana is going head to head with the other teams best pitchers.

Mets have never gave Santana run support. Not surprised, but then again it is Josh Johnson they went against today.
