Not really, a good friend and former team-mate is GM in Oakland. Not surprising he might want to work with him.
I really don't like the timing of this. First, it screams disagreement in terms of the '12 draft to me. Second, he's taking our damn draft board wherever he goes. I wonder if he doesn't hate Ingram because of his short arms but the powers that be are dead set on trading up for him.
Hopefully Clinksales is honoring his contract and this is his final draft ala Donnie Walsh with NY in the 2011 draft. That'd be disgraceful if he left and took the Jets board with him. He'd burn so many bridges with executives with a bush league move like that.
No link was provided. Thread title is misleading. Clinkscales hasn't parted ways, just talking to Oakland. "COULD LEAVE" http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...oOHEDg&usg=AFQjCNEbEEsvdYA_rUW0CLIUWjGQz7EJ4w
Yeah slight difference. This post = He has a better job offer. Thread title = He's bailing with our draft board 3 days prior.
The papers reported this back in February. He may have even interviewed for their GM position. Rex, Tanny and Woody aren't ignorant to what their staffers are doing. In fact, Clinks couldn't even speak to Oakland without Tanny's permission. Oakland is not going to change their draft board two days before the draft based on one (he's not a GM, HC, OC or DC) new hire.
Clinkscales. I wonder if his forefathers were blacksmiths who crafted the best chain mail in feudal England.
