Chris Stewart's catching CC tonight. Nunez is in at DH (surprisingly) with Jeter and A-Rod playing the field tonight.
I really hope Garcia somehow ends up staying in the rotation he's been extremely unlucky to start the year.
Okay, I guess I'm a sucker, because I'll give you one more chance. Could you please just answer my question... Wrong about what? I don't even know what you're talking about. Do you think I said, "Hughes will definitely become an ace!" or something? That sounds very unlike me. Answer the question or just forget about this conversation. Your call.
The post about Hughes, which I referenced earlier, where you claimed he was as good as any other playoff team's third starter, and also said he was better than most.
Yeah and I though we already covered that. I said that in 2010. It was true in 2010. It is not true now. Shit changes. I never said it would be true for all time. How Hughes is performing in June has absolutely no bearing on the validity of my statement in 2010... which I also already said. So just stop.
Happy to disagree with you and leave it at that. Still insane to think we will learn anything about my 2010 statement by "checking back" on Hughes's June 2012 performance. ANYWAY... This is the first comfortable game I've seen out of CC this year. Against a solid team, too.
We won't learn anything about your 2010 statement. We'll learn more about Hughes. And you're absolutely insane if you think Hughes was as good as any #3, if you'd take even a cursory glance at some of the pitching staffs. Just stop.
I said AL pitcher. When did the Phillies move to the AL? Seriously... What the fuck is your deal? Just stop.
What the fuck? Just stop. You were obviously wrong about taking him over other #3s, you don't want to admit it, and now you're being completely insane.
jonnyd and Alio unfortunately seem to have (mostly) quit the thread so there's a void needing to be filled. Nice hat.
Gotta say, I thought Jeter looked cooked for the first half of last season, but since he had that time off after coming back from that calf injury, he's been right at - if not a little better than - his career norms. That's not something you see very often from 38-year-olds.
