Thanks that was an awesome read. I'd say his playing days are probably behind him based on what we saw out of him in2010, but he's got a good head on his shoulders and a damn good personality. I doubt we've heard the last of him. Surprised he has no interest in coaching.
Great read... never pictured him as a Zappa fan. In a way you feel sorry for him but then you realize he's probably bagged models, been comped countless rounds of golf and oh yeah, is a multimillionaire.
I know what you mean but I always figured it must be rough for former athletes and you can see why so many of them get into trouble with booze or other things down the line - to have had so much so young and then for most of them for it all to be over when you are still really a young man must be very hard. even worse though to have been a big time college player and the top dog on campus and then through injury or whatever never make it to the pros and so at least have that cushion on money to fall back on (I always think of Al Bundy at this point!).
Sounds to me like he might be a natural for tv color commentary. Maybe he can replace Warren Sapp after his likely firing.
great read!!! i dont think this guy is going to become a statistic. i enjoy that and hope to hear about him doing well 10 or 20 years from now.
