That shift was ridiculous Jeter was standing behind second.

TEX HOME RUN. Went right near where the Grandy HR landed. Tex's AB followed a Cano flyball that went to the wall in Left.

standard overshift is 2nd baseman in shallow right, SS behind second, and third baseman by short. They didn't move third over as much due to the situation I guess

Hughes pitched well after that until Doumit hit a 2 run bomb in the 6th

of course the Yankees battered Swarzak. He didn't make it through the third and Granderson homered in his first three ABs.

Granderson 5-5 thats dope. Everybody in the AL East playin .500 ball right now. It'd be cool to destroy the Blow sox tmrw.

    Nova vs Buttholes
    Garcia vs Dubront
    Sabathia vs Bard

it's Yankees top 3 vs. Boston's bottom 3, but in Fenway? Not so realistic

Classy move by the Yankees on the top step during the ceremony. They did the same thing in the '05 opener when the Sox got their rings.

I expect to win today, lose with Garcia, and win with CC.

I think Nova is better than I thought he was. He may be a main stay.

Yankees top 3? More like bottom two and top 1.

    the rotation currently is:

    Sabathia
    Nova
    Garcia
    Kuroda
    Hughes

(not counting Pineda and Pettitte, who aren't pitching)

If you want to put Kuroda ahead of Garcia, fine, but otherwise I don't see how you could argue Garcia and Nova are the bottom 2. Hughes is clearly the worst of the bunch.

So yes, it's Yankees top 3.

    No, it's

    Sabathia
    Kuroda
    Hughes
    Nova
    Garcia

All you need to do is look at the last two and next two games to see that. Now, based on their talent may be a different thing but Garcia would be last no matter how you look at it and he will be gone as soon as Pettitte is ready.

Just not accurate. I can't see what rational person would agree with that.

if you want to judge it off this year, Nova is second like I said, and Hughes would be no better than 4th (really 5th if you look at more than this year).

The order of the rotation in the regular season is irrelevant and says next to nothing.

exactly, the order means nothing. Nova is CLEARLY the number two.....and IM not sure that even changes when Pineda and Pettitte come back, though I hope Pineda becomes the two and NOva 3, which would be bad ass. HUghes? GTFOH.......
