Can you say Mike Adams in the second round?

Again I'll say, screw Mike Adams. His heart isn't in the game. Anyone who is truly committed to being the best they can be doesn't screw up this many times. You want to rely on this guy to protect our quarterback? Plus the knee issues. Pass every time.

Percy Harvin had ankle issues and tested positive for Marijuana. Was it a bad idea to draft him? College kids make mistakes, and are stupid at times but their is no doubting talent.

"Tannebaum said he'd love to uncover the next Jeremy Lin, mentioning little-known Caleb Schlauderaff as a possible candidate. Schlauderaff is a second-year guard who didn't see any significant action last season."

Interesting, I hope Schlauderaff can become something good that would be nice.

Also found this quote very interesting:

"Tannenbaum called this a "critical" offseason for 2010 second-round pick Vlad Ducasse"

"Critical", haha not exactly a glowing endorsement. Critical as in if he doesn't step it up he will be replaced.

This is good to hear. On paper, our offense is a joke right now. No one wants us to reach for a skill player just for the sake of drafting one... but if Tanny passes on Floyd in round 1 or Jeffery in round 2 this board will probably self-destruct.

Doesn't sound like the Jets like Barron very much in the man-to-man scheme. Maybe they are just blowing smoke but who knows?

Anybody secondary gurus or Tide insiders who know if Barron would be a good fit in NY?

I've been wrong before but it sounds to me like the Jets are hoping they could get a good deal to trade up for Ingram, or that Floyd is there at 16. If neither are options they will go with OL, sounds like a decent plan to me.

From what Ive been hearing or reading is that the FO likes Barron, but doesnt think he is a good fit in our system because he played mostly zone coverage and here the safeties mainly play man coverage. Either way, I think he would still be a reach at 16.

And as far as OL goes, it doesnt sound like they plan on addressing the OL early (only possible scenarios I see are DeCastro or maybe Reiff if either fall). I really think they like the FO likes the group they have (Austin Howard and caleb schlateraff as two possible guys who can contribute). I wouldnt expect an OLmen to be drafted before the 3rd.

Geez listening to this conference I don't know how anyone can really take bradway seriously when he discusses prospects and draft positions.

Guess the mike nugent experiment is still fresh in my mind.

From CBS: "In his final two seasons as a starter, Adams had issues on and off the field. He underwent shoulder surgery and then a season-ending left foot injury, both in 2008. Adams missed five games in 2009 with knee injury and was suspended for two games the same year for violating team rules. He as one of five players suspended first five games last year for receiving benefits from selling collectibles through a tattoo parlor and had to pay back $1,000 he received for a ring."

+ Smoking dope before the biggest interview of your life, with millions on the line. + getting off for having pot-smoking paraphernalia

Harvin and Adams benched the same number of reps at the combine. I know that's inter position and doesn't mean much, but it shows you the relative lack of hard work Adams has put in to be the best he can be.

We need a RT and at the right spot, on a superficial level, he would be a good pick. I just think that these numerous things that have appeared to demonstrate a lack of focus will manifest itself into a mediocre player at the next level. Selling stuff too? Imagine how hard he'll work once he gets 100k every week.

Clinkscales on factors for projecting college DE's as OLB:

    - Athleticism, arm length, [short pause] intelligence...

    Bye bye Ingram?

Nooooooooooooooooo. I'm one more wasted draft pick on a QB away from perma-diarrhea.

Fact: Pats carried 4 QB's in 2000 and one of them was a 6th round pick you may have heard of.

Lets not insult them, they're perfectly capable of being the assistant equipment manager.

Sad Fact: The Jets have carried 4 QBs several times over the past few years. Unfortunately, even combined, Mark Brunell, Kevin O'Connell, Eric Ainge, Kellen Clemens, and Greg McElroy aren't exactly Tom Brady.
