Let's go ahead and get this out of the way and identify where we stand. NOTE: Poll IS PUBLIC and everyone can see where you stand if you vote. Additional Note: If you click on one of the two numbers in the vote tally column, you will see who voted for which starter.
Since this poll is for Tebow fans, I won't participate just to keep it honest. Be advised that this sort of thread won't lead to peace and harmony and you should expect some "incoming" on this.
Cmann, quite honestly, since Tebow was traded and a number of us came here, all we have gotten from some of the Jets fans is "incoming", no matter what it was that we have said. Many of the people here have been pretty cool about the whole thing and seem to be willing to let things play out and see what happens wrt Tebow. Others though, if someone says something supportive of Tebow, it's full on attack mode. For a number of these people, they don't seem to get the concept that a person CAN support Tebow, WHILE ALSO SUPPORTING SANCHEZ and the Jets as a team. Don, yeah, to some degree. The purpose of this poll is to try and remove any ambiguity, to let people know matter of factly, where a person stands.
The first time a member of the Jets says, "Sanchez gives us the best chance to win," will spell the beginning of the end of Sanchez' time as a starter.
The only way to be the best is to successfully compete against the best. I want Mark Sanchez to be the best. I want the Jets to be the best. Based on my observations, Tim wouldn't want any less.
I think he is trying to rectify the misconceptions that all of us Tebow fans are pulling for him to start over Sanchez. I think he legitimately meant Tebow fans
I'm pulling for Tebow to start over Sanchez. I'm guessing all of us Tebow fans are. But only if the Jets coaching and management staffs honestly believe he should. Right now, that's not even a question. Of course Sanchez should start.
Sanchez should definitely be the starter. He hasn't lost it and Tim hasn't earned it... now do I believe at some point that may change? Well that depends more on Sanchez and Tim's performance than my opinion. We'll have to wait and see. I'd love to see Tebow be the starter of an organization who got 100% behind him, but at this point, I'm happy with his backup/rollplayer position on this team where he can still contribute and work on the things he needs to work on and maybe he'll get another chance somewhere down the line... maybe even this year if Mark goes bottoms up (but i don't think that will happen)
I guess I should have been more clear, I meant pulling for him to immediatelly start. This year, I personally don't think he is ready and a year as backup could do him well
I love how this is asked as if it's a discussion. Tim Tebows riddance from Denver marked the end of his tenure as a franchise QB. He will now be used as a multipurpose football player, which is what he can do well. The only way Tebow runs this team as the #1 QB is if he gets injured and misses significant time. He will play more RB than QB as a Jet.
There are plenty of other threads where you are more than free to discuss your opinion of Tebow as a starting QB, this isn't one of them. If you don't like any of the existing threads, you are of course free to start one of your own.
