Anyone targeting the Jags game? Good time to go. Weather should be perfect, but ticket prices will probably be inflated.

    Anyone here planning to go?

Going to buy tickets when they go up.

I'm 4-5 hours from Jax but I may be potentially interested in goin to that game if my buddy would want to go with me. Won't know that until closer to the season though. Bump this again in a few months

Those of of us in South Florida don't recognize Jacksonville as part of our state.

    Georgia's dingleberry...maybe.

Green machine,,,,I was thinking of going still not sure if I will. I was there a few years ago and had zero problems with the fans .the only thing we won that day was the coin toss,,, we got killed and were never in the game . The fans by us were beyond friendly ,they asked about our trip down, told us that we had a really good coach and team and were shocked at how the game was going and then offered to buy us beers too many times to remember .
We stayed in a hotel a few blocks from the stadium, there are many places to stay nearby . There are bars and restaurants in the immediate area near the stadium ,it is a lot like the south street seaport by THE LANDING but but we found it pretty dead there. We went closer to the beaches , by car / cab to have some fun more lively bars there . I would go back just have to see what my work sched is,,,,,,maybe I will see u there.

Went to the last game in Jacksonville – far and away the worst, douche bag , fuckhead fans I’ve ever encountered…and I’ve watched the Jets get their asses kicked all over the place.

Move those chains, move those chains, move those chains…

Fuck Jacksonville. With that said – who knows, I might go.

Yes, I will be there..... with family (flying down from NY) and friends (several JAGS season tix holders)....

Yeah, there can be some real ignorant pricks there, but also some decent fans too. luck of the draw with your seats.... after watching the JETS get pummeled there twice, I've experienced both with the 2006 42-0 game almost getting real ugly..... for the most part if you don't act like a jackass and are there to have fun they're fine. (maybe aside from sect 245)

as far as getting out and into the hood, you need to park on the south end of the stadium a little ways away and walk, and you can get in and out in no time. Don't park right in front or you get the shitty detours around and you feel like you're spending as much time as leaving the meadowlands.

The Tebowner factor will make getting tix more difficult. I went to opening day 2010, when the Broncos were in town, and there were #15 Bronco shirts all over the place and that was before he ever played an NFL game. I hope some of my season ticket holder friends can get me some tix for my family.

I plan on going to this game. I have seen the Jets plays in Tampa and in Miami. Living in Florida, it's the only stadium I haven't seen them play in yet.

so what do you care? The only important thing is that we win the game not who plays QB for us.

    Sheeeeet --

I'll drive down from Athens, if Vick Blows goes -- can't pass up an opportunity to drink with this cat!

I'm still debating on which one I want to go to -- we have Nashville the next week, and both cities are about equidistant from athens -- decisions decisions.

Jacksonville is in Florida? They have a football team?

Fuck that. My sisters fiance has season tickets for Miami in the second row on the 50 yard line. I'll be going to that game :)

Oh and by the way, I live in Miami LOL

I am not in Jacksonville but I assure you no one in North Florida recognizes South Florida as part of the USA. :)

Went to Jax once...We had Jax and Miama back 2 back and made a vaca out of it.

Parking was a bitch, In a fucked up neighborhood. We ended up parking on a grass and accidentally left our windows open
but,....not 1 thing went missing, the people at the stadium were pretty kewl too.

Oh yeah, Testeverde got hurt and some kid named Pennington took over....we ended up getting destroyed.

We got stomped in Miama & Jax..
Funny thing though, we ended up having a nice season that year....2002

Royal Tee.....my wife and I were at that game also...looks like the same exact section. I even remember that same sign. Looking for the back of my head but cant see it..LOL. Disasterous game though...remember Jax first offensive play? Brunell from his own EZ (in front of us) ducked a near safety and hit Fred Taylor for like a 90 yard pass play all the way to the Jets one yard line??
