Nice move. So much time/articles written on character flaws or mental breakdowns, it's refreshing to read something like this. Zero chance Trent will be on the board @16 but I'll be rooting for him to achieve success (except against the Jets of course).
I pray for him to somehow be a Jet... but in reality, its not going to happen. Not worth getting our hopes up.
Yes, I know it's a crap shoot that he'll be there at 16. We can hope. Now, I wouldn't mind packaging a 1st and a 3rd to move up a little...but not sure how realistic that is. Draft should be fun to watch this year!
I don't think he gets past CLE or TB. Richardson is the only person worth trading up for. The jets would never do it though.
If the Jets are thinking about trading up for Ingram, and TRich somehow makes it past 6, why wouldnt they do it? Trent Richardson is the only player deserving even a thought of trading up, and if they are supposedly really interested in trading up for Ingram, why wouldnt they do it for a much better player?
because they would have to trade to 7 to get Richardson. we might trade up for ingram if he slides to 12. I can't see us trading to 7 for him. We wouldn't be picking until the 5th round otherwise.
Well if they feel like Jax is gonna take Ingram if we dont trade up with them, they could be dumb enough to do that... Another possible trading partner Im hearing about are the Panthers. Either way, if we trade up for Ingram, the FO are fucking idiots. Dont know if this was posted here, but... Watched the video of him on ESPN. Class act. If you take a risky chance on a guy, its gotta be more comforting for him to conduct himself like Richardson. I hope he maintains his integrity throughout his career. Its an extreme long shot for him to be a Jet but I hope he has a productive career.
We're likely to have no shot at him if the browns make the right choice and draft him at 4. If they get Tannehill fever and pass him it's then up to the bucs. The Bucs might prefer Clairborne since their secondary is going to be in pieces while Blount is serviceable and there's good rb's all over the draft. If Richardson gets to the Rams it then becomes interesting. They might take him but with Steven Jackson already on the team grabbing Blackmon fills a bigger need. If Richardson falls to seven Tanny better get on the phone with the Jags, they don't need Richardson and would basically be reaching for any prospect they take. I don't have a trade chart on hand so if anyone could help me out and see what it should take according to the chart I'd appreciate it. Slim chance the elite rb should go at 4 but if he falls to 7 or lower a trade would be much more reasonable and non qb prospects I think Richardson would have the biggest impact on our team right out of the gate.
For 7, I would think at least this years 1, 2 and 3 or this years 1 and 2 and next years 2. But if he makes it to 7, why cant he make it to 16? Every team in between 7 and 16 has a quality RB with other positions of need.
Our first and two seconds could very well be worth it. You make a good point but somebody is going to trade up for this guy or just take him as best player available without it filling a need. If Trent Richardson falls to 16 Tebow really might just have some divine powers
http://www.draftcountdown.com/features/Value-Chart.php Trade value chart. 1, 2 and 3 is really close. Not worth it, though. If he's at 16, it's a no brainer. We have to use these picks to put multiple players on the 53. Now more than ever with Rex and Mark in year 4 and this goofy offseason.
