I'm excited! This year is gonna be my first game at a stadium! As soon as the schedual is released, I can purchase tickets to a specific game, right?
I guarantee the fake schedule will be better. Maybe the NFL will decide we get 4 road games in row this time. Or maybe they'll gives us a Monday night game followed by a Thursday night game that same week. I agree on the 1pm kickoffs, I love those. The game is early in the day and gets out of the way. I hate waiting for the game to start, and even though I'm young, I still feel night games go too late.
They definitely go too late. Im only about to be 23 and if I have work in the morning I don't feel like being up to 12:30. I like to watch some of the post game stuff so if the game ends at 11:30 by the time I'm in bed its already past 12.
Expect 5 primetime games. Weve had 5 the last two years and with Tebow in the mix despite us being on the downward spin, we will more than likely get 4-5 again.
I'm not taking that bet. And I had forgotten about the TBA (To Be Announced) scheduling, which is always a screw job. You're all set to go to a 1PM Sunday game and then find out it's been moved to 8PM. Terrific.
Video record 'em, Scotty! Over here we have Comcast "DVR." You set it up ahead of time and when you get home you're ready to go. You just have to be careful to not turn on any sports scores. I also tell my friends there will be hell to pay if they call me up and tell me the score. This works pretty good if you have someplace you have to be while the game is on. My wife drags me to this or that, but she knows the game is already over, so when we get home I go right into the DVR and make believe it's 1PM in the afternoon.
Realistically, the schedule has nothing to do with printing the tickets. You'll often see tickets "for sale" now, but again, ticketholders will not receive them in their accounts for a while. Best place to shop for tickets is StubHub, where they guarantee that the ticketholder actually HAS the tickets in his posession and will forward same. Anything else (like eBay) or others, you're taking a risk. And in some cases, quite a risk.
4pm FTW. I have nothing against starting a tailgate at 9am but by the time I'm home from the game my night is over. I prefer the late start.
Right, thanks. I wonder if there's any way the NFL could resist a Broncos @ Jets match up? I can just imagine the headlines. Is there any chance it'll happen or is there something in the scheduling rules that would preclude it from happening?
