Definitely Trent Richardson. No one in the top 15 should even think about picking him.

Devon Still & Rueben Randle will have to wait tiil Friday.

NFL is getting out of hand with all these invites.

2008 only 6 players were in the green room.

Very interesting, Loving the McClellin invite, but Tannehill is getting invited over how likely of a reach his pick will be.

I always thought the players who were projected top talent could go if they thought they would get drafted in the 1st round, not the NFL has to invite them. *facepalm*

They invited 26 because of the talent in the draft. It's a thick draft. The fascinating thing is that if that list is accurate they did not invite David DeCastro or Riley Reiff.

No that's not true, it's al PR.

Last year's draft was just as solid in Rd 1, if not better.

DeCastro & Reiff could have declined.

From walt football: A note on another pass-rusher - Shea McClellin was invited to the NFL Draft. That's a great sign that he'll be a first-round pick. Mayock suggested that McClellin's draft range is 18-31.

I'm guessing we end not picking a guy invited subsequently it makes sense because all the drunk idiots will boo the pick as its the common thing to do when the Jets pick

There were a couple of people invited who said they wouldn't attend..there was an article about it earlier in the week..I'm not sure but DeCastro might have been one of them. I think this list is actually those who said yes and not just those invited.

Rueben Randle seems an odd invite for day 1. Even more so than Shea.

Last year, they had a handful of prospects that weren't drafted until the end of day 2. Last years crop of selected individuals was worse IMO, they had several guys who weren't slated until the mid-late second round. At least in this case, the second round guys will likely go in the first 10-15 picks.

It sucks, but the NFL saw the ratings when Rodgers and Quinn fell like a stone, so they decided to add more individuals to the green room to increase the intrigue/play off the pain of these guys as they fall farther than expected.

That and the hug thing seems to be taking off.

I always feel bad for the guys who were supposed to go round 1 and slip out of it. You can see they play it off in front of the camera, but it must be very very frustrating.

exactly, which is why I get irritated that the NFL is profiting off of their pain by inviting the guys to NYC and to the green room. I know it has to be so hard to turn down an invite to NYC. I know if I was in the draft, and was asked to be in the Green Room, I would be on the first flight, regardless of whether I was supposed to be first pick or a lucky to be 7th rounder.

Odds-on favorites to go in the top 16 not on the list of people who will be in the Green Monster:

    Riley Reiff
    Luke Kuechly
    David DeCastro

    Other likely 1st rounders:

Whitney Mercilus (maybe a 2nd round slip)
    Andre Branch (ditto)
    Janoris Jenkins
    Mike Adams

I'm guessing all 7 guys go in round 1 so that means at least one acceptee is slipping to round 2.

I think Devon Still will be drafted Thursday. I guess we'll see.

Bump. Players invited by the NFL that didn't get drafted in the first.

First player picked not on the list: Kuechly (or Irvin if Kuechly was actually invited).

Also, I just noticed that Luke Kuechly wasn't on this list... That has to be a misprint. The NFL couldn't have f$%^ed up that badly...
