I love when the Red Sox get off to a great start to the season in their first FOX Saturday Baseball game
Crazy play just happened in Giants/Rockies game in the bottom of the 5th inning. The Giants messed up very, very badly on defense and failed to get any outs. The batter ended up advancing to third, the lead runner scored, but best of all the second runner (I think it was Cuddyer) got into a very tight pickle getting chased down by Sandoval towards home but the guy covering the plate dropped the ball. As I'm typing this the Rockies just got a double hit on the ride field side that was fair by inches. The Rockies are tearing it up tonight, they've already scored 15 runs.
I'm 90% sure the TV announcer just called a fan that caught a foul ball and had his girlfriend take pictures of him instead of giving the ball to his girlfriend. He said it out of nowhere too.
Aaron Harang struck out 9 straight batters against the Padres tonight. I am happy to add that that is one short of the major league record set by Tom Seaver in 1970 (coincidentally also against the Padres), a game I saw at Shea Stadium.
The 10th guy homered. Then Jansen blew the save with 2 out in the 9th and Harang didn't get the win, although he pitched well. Dodgers won in the bottom of the 9th on four 2-out walks. You can't make that up.
I was watching the game when that happened - insane play. Guzman bunted with runners on 1st and 2nd no outs. The ball went off the bat between his hands and the runners thought it was foul but the catcher threw the ball to 3rd on after a no-call. They ended up throwing the ball around the bases and ruling all three runners out as none of the ran. Should be all over SportsCenter later.

Thanks for the link. I had it on radio (XM app is awesome) but had not seen it. Everything is better with Vin Scully calling it, glad he's back. Also, the SD manager got ejected for arguing that call and the Dodgers won in the bottom of the 9th.
