Stephon Gilmore Moving Ryan Tannehill out of the 1st round and everybody below him moves up a notch. Stephon Gilmore gets added at 32. Tannehill's Dewayne Robertson like rise is not based on value it's based on need and just like Robertson some sucker is going to trade up high for a guy who should have gone top of the 2nd at the earliest.
I certainly like it, some players high, some players low, and a few players coming out of their second round grade. The biggest shocker is Still at 15, I certainly like him, but idk if I like him THAT much. Care to explain your reasoning?

Jerel Worthy I think DeCastro is the best lineman and will be an All-Pro many times over. I don't think Coples is as good as everyone is claiming he is. And Luke Keluchly is the best linebacker in the draft. I also think Hill has the potential to be the best receiver in this class.

Alright. Here's your first official test as a licensed "cool guy.": Let's pretend the first 15 picks essentially follow your BPA. Add in Tannehill. So it's up to us. Only thing is they took Upshaw instead of, say, Coples. *So the choice is Coples, Brockers, all. Who do you pick and why? *Now pretend that it was Kirkpatrick that somehow fell instead of Coples. Choice is Kirkpatrick (via trade down), Brockers, all. Now what do you do? *Who do you pick at 16 if both Upshaw and Hightower are available? Now here is $M question. You're Tanny. Andrew Luck does not get selected first. Or second. Or third. What pick must Luck slide to before you pull the trigger on a trade-up to acquire Luck? Assume that you have to give a lot more than fair pick trade value to get him, but not nearly as much as you'd have to pay to trade to #1. I know....my questions are the shit.
Well, I believe the way you worded your statement, Hightower would still be available. So therefore, I would select Hightower. But lets just say it was down to Coples, Brockers, and the rest of my BPA's. In that case I would take Coples. He's not the most popular pick when it comes to selecting an OLB but I believe, with time, he can become a force on the edge. He wont be dominant immediately but Rex can coach him up into fitting in our 3-4 in his first year IMO. He's worth the effort. In your second scenario, I would take Kirkpatrick without even trading down (since I think he'd end up on the Bengals) and put him at FS immediately. He'd need to bulk up a bit but god would he make our defense sexy. He reminds me of a better tackling Antrel Rolle. Him and Landry would be great, and from there on I'd draft an OLB in the second or BPA (WR, OT, RB). The Upshaw and Hightower choice is a tough one since I love them both. Upshaw provides instant translation to OLB while Hightower may have to adjust in the beginning of the season. I think in the end I take Upshaw over Hightower for the simple fact that I think Upshaw is a better edge rusher than Hightower is. Hightower is a great blizter, but on the inside, without me knowing how effect he cant be on the outside I am forced to take Upshaw. The Jets need pass rush and Upshaw can provide that. Its a lot closer than you think though. Maybe 14 or 15? I like Luck and think he can be great but you asked that question to one of the #1 Sanchez supporters around here. The only reasoning I'd even trade up for him is to somehow hold a kings ransom to a QB desperate team.
I still think I worded it right after rereading but it definitely looks a little awkward so idk. Anyway I'm sure people will know what I was trying to get at. Double jeopardy question round: *Tannehill doesn't get taken. They follow your BPA for the first 15 picks. Choice is Brockers, Tannehill/(someone else tradeback?), all. Now we're getting down to the nitty gritty. *Would you consider trading up for Reiff, DeCastro, or Richardson under any circumstances? How high would you trade up for each player you'd be willing to move up for. Are there any other players you would consider moving up for? *If I ask you right now to put a percentage on the likelihood that each of the following actions will end up occurring with our first round pick, how would you set the lines? (Trade-Up, #16 OL, #16 LB, #16 WR, Trade Back) *Who do you think is going to be the best-case scenario player to realistically fall to us? Will it happen, (or someone almost as good?)
Scenario 1: I would make a call to Cleveland and say "Hey, you gave us our QB , now how about we give you yours?" I would trade down to 22 and look for guys like Adams, Jeffery, Glenn, Perry, Martin (maybe but I dont love him for RT) or trade down again if none of those guys are available. Scenario 2: Richardson and Reiff I would trade up for but not far at all, maybe 14-15 (doubt we'd trade up at that point) . I am against trading up really, we need all of our picks this year, depth will be the difference in going far and going nowhere. Btw, this is not an insult to DeCastro but Id rather take him because he fell to us than trade up for him. Scenario 3: Trade-Up: 5% (Only if someone very valuable falls far but I doubt this happens) #16 OL: 20% (We could very well go OLine, I think DeCastro has a chance to fall to 16 and Adams is a solid option at 16 IMO even though he might get drafted lower) #16 LB: 35% (We want a pass rusher more than anything IMO, guys like Hightower, Upshaw, and Perry may all be available. I think this is the most likely of all picks) #16 WR: 15% (I think we are really looking into WR and we obviously want a #2 target for Sanchez. I think Floyd is becoming a possibility at 16. Jeffery could also be reached for if those main guys we like are gone.) Trade Back: 25% (Its one of our most likely options IMO. We have been rumored to want to trade back and Im totally for it if nobody we feel comfortable picking is at 16. There are also many trade candidates out there like the Bengals, Browns, Broncos, Texans, and Bears (Bears could want to trade up to get a guy like Martin or DeCastro, I think theyd pay a pretty penny to get OLine help.) Scenario 4: Best case scenario? Michael Floyd . We need a #2 and maybe even a borderline #1 wideout. Floyd is an excellent talent and IMO can be had if he gets past Buffalo (which I think he will since they need an OT). He'd be a better version of Braylon for Sanchez for years to come. He needs a WR to grow with, Floyd is the perfect candidate for that role. Someone else thats also good? Dre Kirkpatrick. He has the possibility of falling come draft time and I think hes a perfect fit at FS. We clearly need help safety and I feel he is definitely worth the time/pick. He can tackle, he can cover, he has solid size, and he has great ball skills, if he can add some weight he'd be perfect. There ya go my friend. Sorry for responding so late.
After much thought, this is how I'd personally rank everyone, trying very hard not to account too much general opinion into things. 1. Luck 2. Griffin 3. Richardson 4. Claiborne 5. Kalil 6. Kuechly 7. Blackmon 8. Reiff 9. Decastro 10. Worthy 11. Floyd 12. Glenn 13. Coples 14. Perry 15. Cox 16. Tannehill 17. Hightower 18. Kirkpatrick 19. Wright 20. Barron 21. Upshaw 22. Hill 23. Brockers 24. Ingram 25. Adams 26. Gilmore 27. McClellin 28. Martin 29. Poe 30. Fleener 31. Konz 32. Jeffery
Guys, There is a great new mock draft on IAMADOUCHEBAG.com Definitely worth a look, really detiled mock draft (I cannot post links yet, check it out) They have a scenario where Ingram falls to us at #16. I would love this. GO JETS!!!
