He was in shape last year also, the Jets want their players to have less muscle this season

It's good he is returning. Draft somebody and get him to mentor for a year. The same deal with Leonhard, we need these guys back as transitional pieces.

Unfortunately this is probably true. Still I don't think it's a dead deal yet quite. A team could potentially take a flyer on him if we'd eat a couple million from his contract.

The skeptic would probably be saying...but then we have $9M dead in Bart Scott! The problem is that about $5-6M of that production is already dead so for the price of $2M we would still help our cap # by $4M and give ourselves a chance to make a move for an FA or 1st 3 rounds draft pick. Not saying it's likely but something for Tanny to think about at least.

That would be the dream I guess.

You just love to kvetsch don't you? Just like you're a yentl in a sewing circle.

I don't hear you bitching about Brick restructure. Probably not Sanchez. Definitely not Revis' holdout.

What's the matter sweetie? Never learned how to take your lumps in life?

I frankly thought the chance of Scott leaving was somewhere between slim and none. Seems I was right again.

Matthias Berning impressed me in preseason last year as a crazy fuck who could take over for Bart Scott. I think the Jets let him go though. Too bad because he seemed to look like that type of guy.

It's the right decision to bring back Scott. Just draft a MLB to play back up to Scott for a year or two.

Ray Lewis isn't a liability in coverage? Are you watching tape from 2006?

I wish that was true. He may not be awful, but good? I don't think so.

He's I guess above average but he's not great in coverage. Honestly though having a LB who can cover very well is a luxury not a necessity. Get me a LB who can stop the run and get to the QB over one who can lock up a TE for a few seconds.

Watch our last game vs Miami. He was our only bright spot.

Bart Scott is a must-have player for his leadership and veteran knowledge. This is huge in my opinion.
