Yea, the giants definitely battled their way to the SB and earned what they got.

But when you get 2 gift miracle plays in the same game which just so happens to be the NFCCG,
well it does lose a little luster. Kinda like Vinny Testaverde's helmet scoring a TD.

rot. they beat 15-1 gb and 13-3 sf on the road then 13-3 pats in sb
in 07 they beat 13-3 cowboys and gb on the road and 18-0 pats

no team in recent memory has done that-not even close

    loses a little luster...lol

Everything sounds good but, explain how the Redskins beat the champs TWICE?

SO Miami losing to Cowboys but beating the Jets. There was not much difference between Miami, Cowboys, and the Eagles. Also the bills had a decent record to start the year.

Really ? Nonsense? What have the Cowboys, Redskins and Eagles done in the past 6 years?

NOTHING. Nada. Zip. Zilch. Irrelevant except in the media. People talk about them as if it's the early 90's. The Eagles best days was when Donovan was at the top of his game. The "Dream Team" was simply the NFL West's division first year getting accustomed to Vick. Didn't work so well the second time around. He's not getting any younger or any more dangerous. They are stagnating and have stagnated for years. Lots of talent, terrible management and coaching. No spirit, no will to win, no excitement, no coheviness and little incentive to do anything about it because they always end up "good enough" for the QB's and management to keep their jobs. They're good enough to be losers and underachievers. In the NFL, and in life, if you're not getting better, you're getting worse. The Eagles and Cowboys worst days are ahead of them. Not behind them. Washington's the smartest of the 3 going into full blown re-build mode.

I easily see both the Cowboys and the Eagles imploding and hitting rock bottom over the next 2 years and unlike Washington, who saw it was time to cut strings and make drastic changes, they're doing the same things over and over. It's going to bite them worse. They'll be battling for the #1 pick in draft way before Romo or Vick ever gets them into SB contention.

And I don't actually think Romo's as big a choke artist as most think. I do think he's SOL as long as Jerry Jones is the owner of that franchise, and as long as he stays in Dallas. For whatever reason, it's just not going to work.

everything you just posted was covered under my statement, " the giants definitely battled their way to the SB and earned what they got."

That was actually the first line of the post.

Go ahead and lie to yourself however you want,
you got outplayed in the Championship game,
and without 2 not 1 but 2 miricale gift will never happen again that way in a championship game plays, You guys lose, easy no question about it.

    Def loses some luster.

I might be biased, but I think the NFC North is now one of the toughest divisions.

Now back to the subject of the thread.

This year someone will step up and lead. Toomer's opinion as well as every other talking head doesn't matter.

This is a perfect opportunity for Sanchez to step up. Lets see if he has the balls to do it, because if he doesn't Tebow will.

Did you forget that this Sanchise's fourth year so he is destined to win the Super Bowl. If Eli did it that means Sanchez will.

If the coaching and personnel around them is similar to last years they most likely will.

Here is also what Toomer said

“I still feel that way,” Toomer said. “Here’s a guy, all the pundits say what he can’t do, that he can’t play. These are guys he probably looked up to growing up. All of a sudden, you get your opportunity to be on the big stage, and all these guys are talking bad about you, and he’s still — no matter what happens in the fourth quarter – he makes plays and wins games. There’s something to be said about that.

For him to say this about Tebow and not realize that Sanchez has done the same thing only more times tells me one thing

    HEY AMANI YOU'RE A DUMBASS!

I guess SB III dosent count because Unitas was hurt. That victory would of had more luster if he played the whole game healthy.

Come on junc, you really think there isn't "much difference" between winning 2 Conference Championships AND winning 2 Super Bowl titles than LOSING 2 Conference Championship games???????

The Giants got it done when it mattered, the Jets didn't.

That's the difference between winners and losers.

That could very well happen, but for some reason I think Sanchez steps up and has his best season yet. The Jets go to the super bowl and lose to the Packers.
