I think Braylon is less of a risk then the convict who was out of football for a couple of years and couldn't outrun a box of Cheerios, we signed last year, no?

He's rehabbing from surgery. Don't sign players until they can pass a physical.

He will have to show a lot more than he can pass a physical to get signed. He has to show he can still perform as he did.

WR we signed off the Bronco's practice squad last season. He was activated but I don't believe he ever saw the field.

If his shoulder and knee are not a problem why wouldn't he be able to?

Because he is two years older and no matter how good his knee is I doubt he will ever be as fast as he was. That's what he will have to show.

You have to remember that Edwards was in great shape when he was here. Remember how he could do a somersault from a standing jump?

He could afford to lose a bit and still be very effective.

He's probably faster than Plax even if they removed his knee. Besides, he was a great blocker.

That could all be true and the Jets still may not want him.

Braylon won't be the same player as he was. At this point in his career he'll probably never get back there. I could be wrong, but signing BE would just be another stop gap.... that's the downside. We need to address our WR dilemma through the draft, to make sure that our QB(s) has the weapons to succeed. Who knows how long Tone will be around. Another year like last season and he's gone- doesn't matter what the cap hit will be.

Well we have Chaz fuckin' Schillens as the #2 WR. If they don't get Braylon there'd better be a draftee competing for that spot.

That's my guess, a 3rd or 5th round receiver. With the emphasis on running I just don't think it's that important. Or maybe they just throw Kerley into the #2 spot.

I've been on this board for eight years and I honestly can't remember TGG having a bigger love affair for anyone more than Braylon Edwards.

Wish we never signed Holmes. Coulda got Braylon for 3 Millions, and would had 7 million to spend elsewhere.

I dont think we will sign him until after the draft. At this point the unsigned players will sign after the draft. If Micheal Floyd falls to us and no one else is available we take him and say bye to Braylon. Or trade back and take Braylon.

Decisions, decisions. Hopefully we make the right ones.
