That's who I was deciding between Allen, Robinson, and another WR. I think he has big potential either in the nickel or as a #2. Good pick.
Ok, so now that they both have been picked, Did Leonard Johnson and Jayron Hosley rob a bank last week and I didnt hear about it? What are these two guys doing hanging out in the mid-late 3rd round? Johnson was too much value for me to pass up in the 3rd. Even though the Broncos aren't in dire need of CB help, he fits what they want, and will help a not so strong secondary that is undergoing a youth movement. Lots of guys on the board right now. 4th round is going to be stacked. Real shame the Jets won't have a pick in that round to capitalize on the talent available. Edit: specifically at receiver, damn. Lots of good talent available right now.
Well, not a bank but a convenience store two days ago : http://tinyurl.com/4poyc6x He'll be a 7th rounder come April.
Johnson didn't work out tremendously, but Hosley actually moved up after he showed he could run a little bit. Great zone player but proved he had the speed to play in any scheme. Guys like Hosley two other players still available are the reasons that I knew I didn't need to go CB early on. It's not an overwhelming need with experienced guys already on the squad, but Hosley could have a place in the starting lineup if certain guys fall off this season. Glenn, Wright, Polk, and Hosley?? The Bengals are about to go DYNASTY on people.
Bernard Pierce stays in Philly. A RB that's not getting enough credit, he's going to be a great addition in the NFL.
I love Pierce. I just question the fit in Philly. do they need another guy behind Shady? I don't know what the backup situation is like, but I want to give every touch I can to Shady, the guy is dynamic. Either way, Pierce strikes me as a future lead back in a committee kinda guy. But then again, thats just me.
My Giants board was just torn up. Nice picks with Hosley, Washington, Washington, Brown and probably a few more. Back to the drawing board Edit: Part of me wishes I was drafting for a 3-4 team right about now. There are 2 guys I really like for the 3-4 still available, but I do not know if they can go 4-3
I saw Kurt take Troy Brown, who I had neck and neck with the guy I picked so I am happy with Washington. Had Brown as my No.2 guy if ARI took Washington. Jerry Jones always gets what he wants come April BUT I think newcomer Bill Callahan, formerly of the Jets will get his say here and get himself the team's future RG. They have Costa and another guard as late round picks(Costa undrfeated) but these guys were way too overmatched on the pro level. He can be depth foddler but the RG spot needed to be upgraded and Brandon Washington does it. (Bill Nagy, not Doug Free as the 7th round guard :lol This will be Callahan's pick and Washington should start for them in RG and even give versatility if needed at tackle if someone goes down and Free shows his worth at guard. Murray will love running right behind Washington. (Thanks JTJ and WW85 for making my pick)
Love that pick, Shady is a stud but a tough, physical type is always a good add. Gives the offense depth. After Hosley, Bentley and Minnifield were the two I had left on that tier. Both were excellent picks by Code. The list I sent to WW was four corners deep, and all four went within the last 9 picks.
I was shocked Minnifield lasted this long, great corner who can transition to safety which is exactly what the Packers needed with Collins being hurt
Controversy! Woot.. I couldn't help myself. I know a lot of people will frown on my pick but I thought it was smart in that position. Could pan out nice for the Patriots. Very few teams would be able to keep Burfict in check, I think the Patriots are one of those few teams.
