Living in the NY area I have a lot of friends that are giants fans. I rep the jets every single chance I get and even beyond that, but I have no problem with the Giants winning the super bowl. They play in the NFC so I don't really consider them rivals.
As for Williams his first muff could happen to anyone, kill him for 2nd one all you want, but also credit the strip Joaquin Williams made. Everyone forgets the recovery Williams made on an osi sack strip inside niners territory in the first half. Anyone that does not respects the game that Eli Manning played that day is either blinded by hate or just doesn't watch football. He took baring after beating kept getting up, never rattled once. He made a throw on a sideline route to Bradshaw late in the 4th where he slid left waited till the last second and drilled a strike and got pounded, got up shook it off. That's elite and that's why he has 2 super bowl Mbps. Keep hating, it's silly at this point. Also that Weatheford guy was tremendous that day, directional kicking was superb. Again thanks for cutting him a real godsend.

Wawawa. Seriously, find me ANY champion in ANY sport and I'm sure you can look back on their season and find something "lucky." Where the Jets "lucky" in SB 3 because Johnny Unitas was hurt? Were the Packers lucky that injuries forced them to discover James Starks as a valid RB in the playoffs? Were the Saints lucky an onsides kick bounced right out of Hank Baskett's hands? You get the idea. The Giants had some luck go their way. Every team has some elements of luck (be it good or bad) that makes their season what it is. I'm not saying nothing worked out the Giants way, because some things obviously did. But they didn't fall ass backwards into a Super Bowl win they in no way deserved. Arguing that really just makes you (or anyone) sound like a whiny bitch. And did you actually watch Eli play in that game against the 49ers? He was getting his ass handed to him all afternoon and had 0 help from his running game. Did some things go his way? Yes, he could have been picked off twice and wasn't. But he still carried his offense that day. And I don't know anyone saying Coughlin is Lombardi, but consider this one point: The two most unlikely and amazing Super Bowl runs in recent NFL history (arguably at any point in NFL history) have both come under the same HC with the same QB and same nucleus of players. Can we maybe, just MAYBE, admit that the guy and his team know a thing or two about putting together a championship run?
