I'm mildly surprised that Allen fell this far. He's talented but people are really overrating tight ends this year
Thought you might go secondary with the pick but RB is also a solid choice. They will need to cut down Petersons reps next year and James can handle being a 3rd down back as well as come in a few snaps, good call.
I like Weeden as competition for McCoy. His age is a factor but he might be the type that could come in right away and be decent. Either way, they need something at that position after missing out on the top 3.
Weeden pick makes a ton of sense. Not much of a brightside with him but he can step in mid to late season and get starts in Cleveland. Not sure on the LaMichael James pick....only because I think the Vikings are in love with Gerhart. Maybe a late round Rb flier but I do see James as a late round 2/early round 3 draftee so value wise it fits like a glove.
Yeah, they do need help back there as well, especially with the way the Packers/Lions and now Bears are being built. Might be the only way they can keep up.
Going back to a discussion a few pages ago, Alshon Jeffery ran 4.47 and 4.54 40s today at 213, along with a 36.5 inch vertical.
At this point I am worried about Ingram, I think he is being driven up by hype more than skill, to me people look at him and go WOW potential, instead of WOW that kid is a stud prospect. Just my opinion.
It definitely stabilizes him as a Round 1 prospect. Knowing what I know now, I probably would have selected him myself over Randle if he was there. But, you know, hindsight and all that. Although Randle and Andre Johnson have a blooming bromance, as they know each other through the same agent.
Whether that's true or not, pass rushers are wanted and people love em more than any other position besides a blue chip LT. I understand your thought process, just I think Ingram wants it more than the last "hyped up" pass rusher did in Gholston. While it may be cliche, the heart of someone is something that can't be measured....but it also can't be dismissed. That's where I made my mistake on Gholston.
Redskins need a FS and I couldnt decide between Trumaine and another prospect. But I have been sticking with Trumaine since my first mock and Ill stick with him here. He provides nice value in the 3rd round and should make the transition to FS for Washington, one of their bigger needs.
Jags need a WR and I am a fan of Quick and he fits the criteria of "Small school, senior big numbers" player the Jags FO love. They've visited him alot dating back to senior bowl from what I read so good shot he becomes a Jag.
I've come to realize so far in this mock that the Buccaneers are going to be able to add some serious talent at positions of need, as there has been great value there in all 3 rounds. That supplanted with the serious talent they brought in this offseason could make them a serious bounce back team this year as long as Freeman gets back on track.
I think Wagner's a mid to late 2nd rounder so I think its great value to get him where you did. Good pick.
I was gonna take Johnson with my Chargers pick. Essentially the man who would take Quinton Jammer's spot. I just saw Quick was taken too, both guys were my 1 and 1A for San Diego
Bills: 1. Luke Kuechly 2. Vinny Curry 3. Brandon Boykin Really like that the Bills' front 7 is basically set now for the future. Maybe I overdrafted for that position, but you can never have too many playmakers in the front 7, particularly guys that can get after the QB. Boykin is someone I briefly considered in round 2. I looked at a couple of positions for the Bills here, and Boykin stood out as the best one available. Bills love guys who can return kicks and make plays that way, they always seem to sign/draft guys like that. Boykin's injury dropped him a lot.
