As much as I do love that OLB, I'd rather have your guy. Excellent #2 for years to come and the offense needs help.
WOW WW85 likes Floyd?!?!? I thought with Jackson, WR may have been addressed later on. I took Floyd in the 3 rounder so it seems imminent that I will be heartbroken seeing him gone a pick too soon.
Thanks. The Hillis signing to me shows that the cheifs want to get back to runnign the ball. DeCastro is the best pulling guard in the draft and the best in about 10 years. I think people who under rate him becasue of his poisiton do not realize how polished his skill set is right now. The Kid will come in and be a force on the line day one, not in a year or two.
Perhaps the best value pick, but with Mcalin and Jackson in the fold I see them going another direction. There is hope for you yet Baker
Shocked that you went Floyd. I thought maybe get that CB who could move to safety or a DT. That WR core is now stacked.
I never disliked Floyd. I took the BPA and Floyd added with Jackson & Maclin would be an awesome trio. Floyd adds physical presence to their WR group. Philly was in a tough position.
The Eagle's secondary is stacked, they like Jaiquawn Jarrett a lot. Eagles' don't have a lot of holes.
3P10 .... be prepared for a bunch of Love it/ Hate it type replys. I of course are in the love it catagory. :metal:
Had to take Upshaw. This stuff that's been coming out recently has me worried, and I wish I could've made this pick after he runs tomorrow, but I thought he fit the best combination of prospect + need. Not confident in Thomas' ability to come back and be a reliable starter after the injury, and coming from a 3-4 should allow Upshaw to come in and play right away. Hopefully he would be the pass rusher we've wanted for so long. Interesting pick with Floyd, WW. I like Floyd a lot, and was debating between him and Upshaw until I saw you made the pick. I think he can be an elite WR in the NFL, and right now WR might be our biggest need with only Kerley/Schillens/Turner after Holmes. Not sure how I feel about the pick for the Eagles though; they have a bunch of needs so I'm not sure how well it suits them to take a #3 WR in the first round. But certainly never a bad idea to go BPA.
I like Upshaw just concerned with this poor 2-3 month he is having that he might drop to the end of round 1.
Studying the Eagle's depth chart, I don't huge need in any one area. I wanted to get some DL help, but lost a key player off my board. the secondary is solid. I almost went OL for depth to push a few players. I'm not a big Maclin fan and Floyd could push Jackson for the #1 spot. The way the Rookie pay scale is now, drafting a WR in Rd 1 won't break the bank, with Jackson's big contract. BPA on my board was the pick.
Yeah Glenn was the interior guy who I thought mighta gone to Philly. I do think Cincy may need secondary help though.
Glenn can go just about anywhere from 13 to 30. He's kind of a wilde card. If you see him as a guard only he drops, but I think a lot of teams see the ability to be at least a RT in him and that could move him up very high in the draft. At 17 its a very good pick for the bangals.
So 4 out of 5 projected starters on the OL for the Bengals are from the SEC: LT: Whitworth(LSU) LG: Wharton(USCe)/Boling(UGA) RG: Glenn(UGA)/Boling(UGA) RT: Smith(UA) And if Jon Luigs would have been worth a damn, it would have been 5/5...
