Ellis? Brad Smith got starters money and should have been a four or at least a five. Jets were hosed again, but at least its 4 picks.

The compensatory picks process always seems oddly arbitrary.
The Giants lost fewer players than we did in free agency, and they signed free agents where we signed none,
and yet, somehow they came away with a fourth round compensatory pick.

This looks accurate. We could trade one 5th, 6th, or 7th each.

The Giants lost starting DT Barry Corfield for a boatload of cash. They lost 2010 starting Wr Steve Smith to a 2 million dollar deal.
They signed C David Baas... That's it, unless you wanna count the 9 snaps Beandon Stokeley took.

You both got it wrong. Jim Harbaugh is in the back row and John Harbaugh is sitting next to Coughlin

he better NOT even think about a punter and kicker before he fixes right tackle, saftey, pass rush, linebacker, and running back.

we can still get by with the current punter and kicker.

Yeah, let's get a right tackle, safety and pass rusher with round 6 draft picks. I'm sure they'll be great players and be able to start on opening day.

    Right?

just say we got Lowery back this year would that have negated the comp pick?

Yes he did. The figures posted are estimates. Actual figure might be something like $4.137 mil or a weird number like that, not rounded to a mil. Pats knew what that figure was I'm guessing and gave the contract offer accordingly.

Lowery had nothing to do with comp picks. He was a trade. Comp picks are based on how many FAs you lost (that were signed by another team for MORE than vets minimum) minus the guys Jets signed in FA for more than vet min.

If we sign Ellis back this year, it won't change his comp pick. The 2012 comp picks are based on the 2011 off season.

We signed Stanton to more than the vets minimum. He will count as FA signed for us, even though he wasn't part of the team for longer than couple of wks.

I read that the 7th we traded to Indy was the one we got from Jax for Lowery.
