I really hope the Jets get a return call to Hard Knocks this year...the media is pretty much unanimous in thinking we should.
its what he is supposed to say and it is also the truth. it is a smart football move and it is also a smart business decision. Tebow is a better qb than drew stanton is. still waiting for somebody to disagree with that.
Tebow is a gamer and a horrible practice QB. He only finds his groove when the lights come up. Sanchez is safe for the early season but he will feel footsteps because of the natural, unpretentious leadership Tebow brings. Tim's work ethic will scare the be-Jesus out of Mark and any other player that slacks. The Jets will be better for Tim's presence.
The circus hasn't begun. By week 5 it will be unbearable. Sanchez folds like a cheap suit. Tebow stinks it up too. Tanny is fired by week 13.
Exactly...there are a lot of things he can do and even Westhoff will have a ton of plays for him on special teams but they aren't going to show anything in preseason.
That's like the number 1 differentiator of quarterbacks, though. The ability to do it when a smack is coming. Take away that factor and Blaine Gabbert would be great. Tebow's problem is he's almost too non-urgent back there. He has no sense of urgency about getting rid of the ball -- just keeps looking for something wide open, or runs around like Benny Hill (because he doesn't have that latent fear of a blindside snot-knocker of a hit). If anything Tebow could stand to be a little more fearful and urgent back there. McElroy needs to improve under pressure.
Since when have the Jets had any problems with television ratings? The Jets have a huge non-fairweather fan base.
Jersey sales are part of revenue sharing. It doesn't help or hurt any team to have Tebow in that department.
Jersey and merchandise sales are included in the revenue sharing. It won't make Woody any more money.
I absolutely, positively, hands down, dislike this move, however I believe it will motivate Sanchez to step his game up. I DO believe this is a gimmick, designed to do just that, and afford us a chance to run OUR version of the 'Wildcat' effectively. I also believe he's being brought here to add some locker cohesion. We will be successful as long as we get another safety, a pass rushing OLB, another speedy receiver, OL depth, a TE who can BLOCK, and get back to the ground and pound, we need THESE things to take place, to be successful, not this dumb Tebow experiment.
tebow I think Tebow will do well in the wildcat and the Jets will have many new exotic packages that will confuse their opponents. I think overall Tebow will be good and this move will be looked at positivley at seasons end.
If this is strictly a football decision, then is it not more imperative that you get a good RT and RT for Sanchez than a backup QB? As much as I want to believe Woody, I do think that PSL and marketing reasons are involved.
Rex brings Inez Sainz in the locker room and forces Tim to touch her chest. Rex is yelling and Tim is crying. After that,he throws pinpoint accurate passes
