Hey guys, I just saw a report on this guy that he clocked a 4.33 at the LSU pro day. I guess he is projected to be a top 20 pick according to Russ Brande, but I haven't heard or know anything about him. What do you guys think of him, possibility for us in the first round? I know all the talk is about a OLB but WR could definitely be where we go in the first.

Also, Rex was at the LSU pro day the other day but i'm not sure who he was there watching. Interesting.

I think I linked the video wrong, so if anyone can do that for me that would be great.

Almost nobody goes WR in the first anymore..there are a zillion WRs that can walk on and be all pro in two years. It is by far the one position that has an over abundance of talent..everybody in high school used to want to be a RB..now it's WR and they are everywhere.

Randles stock has gone up big time, with his size, speed, hands, and body control he is making a case at being a 1st rounder. Even if there are a lot of WRs in this draft there is a drop off of talent after the top 5-6 guys.

He's been my #3 WR for a while, the kid is just a natural at the position. If they took him in the first, I honestly could live with it. His routes are smooth, has great hands, and awesome body control. Of all the WRs at the combine, he and Kendall Wright stood out during the drills.

no WR's...there are so many serviceable free agents out there it's a bad idea to spend an early pick on a WR. Especially with the renewed focus on the ground game.

I'd prefer to see the first 3 rounds pick up OLB RB and OL. 4th round safety! Oh wait...

I would absolutely love him in the 2nd, he has major upside.

his production was harmed because of QB play, but he’s everything we are looking for at the WR position.

Plus Rex was at LSU’s pro day, hopeful he took notice.

I like Randle as a WR, but I don't want to take him in the 1st round, if his stock climbs that high. If he's still around in the 2nd, I could live with that, but this draft is so deep in WR, it's not the top priority right now. It's a priority going into the draft, just not our most glaring need.

thanks for posting the video. Yeah he looks pretty fluent in the video, but I haven't seen anything else on him. Definitely has good size though for someone with that kind of speed

He is a really smooth athlete, knows how to use his size, and he has deceptive speed (long strider). My only concern is that he never really took over games. Yeah he had some horrible QB play, but Randle wasnt necessarily a guy who could overcome bad QB play to have a good game

I concur with that assessment. He's very good, but did nothing to help Jefferson out. He was virtually invisible in both Bama games this year, and a few other games as well.

Well this year, in the first bama game, most offensive players were invisible. Randle did make a few good catches in the '10 Bama game. I mean looking at his play this year, he got a lot of his TDs by just running past corners. Not that thats a bad thing

His speed wasn't really worrisome beforehand, I doubt his 40 on a fast track will do that much...

Kid was no where near a first rounder based on what he did in games or at the combine. But then he runs a "4.33" at his school and he's a top 20 pick? Kid has NO BUSINESS being our first pick.

In fact, there is no WR in this draft worthy of our pick at 16. We already have a #1 WR. We have no pass rusher, no FS, and after next year no ILB or OLB to speak of, and our OL needs help.

Yea, let's summon the ghost of Al Davis and draft a "4.33" WR.

He runs good routes, fights for yardage, has great speed, good size, and he has a chance at being there in the 2nd. I would be extremely happy if he was our 2nd round pick. Not so much our first. I want to see if he can catch too. He doesn't use his hands very much, which makes me question whether he can go up and get it. Other than that, he seems to be a pretty solid receiver.

I believe his whole post explains why we should not take a wr in the first. It also examines why it was a terrible idea to give up a 4th round pick in a year we need depth and talent. Oh well.

I wouldn't go crazy if he was the pick in the 2nd Round, but I would have a hard time getting on board with him at #16.
