If this is the case, the Jets should pay the 5 million and turn around and trade Tebow to Jacksonville for a 3rd and a 6th rounder. Essentially, the Jets would get a 3rd round draft pick for a 4th round pick and 5 million dollars.

I guess thats why the colts went from superbowl contender to 2-14 without him.

the jets should pay the $5 million only if the deal requires denver to take tannenbaum instead of the 6th round pick.:)

RT @AdamSchefter: More craziness filed to ESPN: Jaguars are back in the mix, seeing if they now can pull off a trade with Denver for Tim Tebow.

Yup. Nothing against Tebow. But the Jets don't need him. I hope the trade is nullified or the Jaguars take him.

The Jags never offered a 3rd. Period. In fact, it was made clear today that the football people wanted nothing to do with Tebow. It was the owners of the teams involved who wanted him-including NY.

Furthermore, Jagsbch, Khan doesn't want Tebow. He put on a goof face and that is about it. He wants to move that team and knows it would be harder to do when they are selling out with Tebow.

The OP is a known troll and obviously pulled this "rumor" out of his ass.

I know Jagsbch from his time at the Broncos forums. He would post 3 page diatribes or links to bleacher report (probably ones he wrote) to pass off as credible sources.

Not to co-sign the guy you accuse of being a troll (I honestly have no idea who he is and could care less) but my little brother is a big Jaguars fan (probably the only one in Queens) and says this is true. He says they offered a 3 rounder and Elway gave Tim the choice of where he wanted to go. Schefter reported the 2nd part also last night

actually the deal were the same

both Jags and Jets offered a 4th and then a later round pick (which turned out to be the swap a 6th for a 7th)

the difference was, Jets were willing to negotiate on the 5mil and Jags were not willing

then Tebow said last night he had nothing to do with choosing one team over the other, he was simply called by John Fox and was wished success in his next job

the Jets wanted him more then Jags did, and it was the entire FO from the Jets wanted him, Rex, Sporano, Tanny and the owner

From what I heard this morning the jags' 4th round pick is 7 picks before the jets. And the jags were willing to pay $3 million.

I read that too. Seems like the Jags had the better deal to be honest. They pay more money and a slightly higher pick

I thought Tebow said he chose the Jets over Jags on SNY last night? I wasn't exactly paying attention but I'm pretty sure Tebow had final say...
