Yeah I mean get real with that argument. The Broncos started their FG drive in FG range, got a pick six, and then scored at the end of the game. Tebow was putrid all day minus the one drive, that's what was so crippling about that loss. It was dispicable to lose on that day because of how well the D played. I still pin that loss on the offense, and not just Chez, the OL was a siv. The one game I was impressed with Tebows throwing was vs PIT, and even then Lebeau was going Cover 1 and 0 and stacking the box all day.
I don't see that at all -unless Sanchez completely falls apart under the pressure of having T2 at QB2
The media creates a lot of these myths. Everyone is injured that time of year, Denver had key players Moreno, Decker, Kuper, Dawkins out, Von Miller half strength etc. and oh yeah a QB that supposedly could not throw vs the bum ankle . Don't make excuses for the squealers, they suck and choked like the dogs they are.
I would imagine they're going to have a short passing game that Tebow can handle. Let's face it even with Stanton here (Or Brunell for that matter) is Sanchez gets hurt for more than two games, you're screwed..... Plus, If Sanchez DOES get hurt and Tebow struggles in the traditional role, you've still got McElroy moving up from 3 to 2, and if that happens, Tebow gets his shot, and is forever cemented as a guy that can be a special package player...
The offense had to be changed by Fox. That was huge difference. Remember Tebow could NOT run the traditional offense, so Fox rebuilt it for him. Not sure what 2010 and 2009 have to do with Tebow. 7-4 with Tebow as QB. Please tell me did the Broncos end the season on a 3 game losing streak while everyone adjusted to the new offense? Did the Broncos only put up 3 points in a game that would clinched the AFC West? Did Tebow hurt Big Ben's ankle, take out the Pitt C and Ryan Clark? Did Tebow cause Marion Barber to fumble or run out of bounds? Did Tebow hit 50+ yard field goals? Did Tebow pick to play in a division where 8-8 gets you HF in the playoffs? There was so much going around that team to pin it all on Tebow would be ridiculous.
Tell me again, about how great our prospects would have been with Stanton? And at least if Sanchez stays upright...Tebow helps us week in and week out.
Let me put it this way. If Sanchez doesnt get better and the run game isn't clicking, we're fucked. Tebow is a nice role player with a gigantic following. I highly doubt he can be the difference between this team winning and losing in an AFC title game. And I'd love to be wrong, I'd love for him to serve me crow.
Sanchez wont get hurt, he's actually very durable. the only way sanchez is coming out is if he throws 2 pick 6s or a bunch of INTs.
I certainly agree 100% it was not all tebow. but he was one leg, of a 3 legged stool, take off any one leg and the stool falls. The 3 game losing streak, This is a non biased view 100% First game Tebow actually played well against NE in that game, in fact statistically he had one of his best games, threw for around 200 yds and ran for close to 120 yards , scored Tds and there were 3 fumbles in a row that sealed the broncos fate (1 was tebow's) . He did not play bad at all and at one point Denver had a 17 point lead on NE. Bills game , everything was fine until mid-late in the 3rd when the bills started scoring on the D, they found themselves down and Tebow played like dog shit in the 4th quarter , worst quarter of his entire life at any level. Kansas city Tebow sucked donkey balls. He had 5 bad quarters in a row certainly no doubt for sure. But QBs are going to have bad games, he had his best game ever the following week with all the pressure in the world dialed in. overall the 8-5 record represents what occurred and the reason the other years are important is that the Denver team (while it had its moments with tebow, the defense and the kicker) was not that good before the change. again not all tebow by a long shot but all those things fell into place (defense, kicking, changed offense, tebow) they were all needed for success and he played his part well.
Anyone remember the O9 Bucs game where Mark got hurt the week before, Kellen Clemens threw like six passes and we ran for 200+, and caused five or six turnovers? Something like that.
if he starts games will the coaching staff go all in like Denver had to with changing their entire offense to the option format?
kid's definitely a fanboy. shameless one Mark won't get hurt, incredibly durable and sturdy. chicano strong and native american cheekbones
Okay, because before you know nobody else was acknowledging Tebow played on a team with 52 other players and numerous coaches. It's like the people who say Sanchez is 100% why the Jets won/lost. It can never fall on one player. As of right now Tebow is nothing on the Jets stool and I will be upset if he becomes a leg because 1) It means Sanchez is hurt meaning injuries, never good. 2) Sanchez and the team are playing really poorly and 8-8 doesn't mean playoffs in the AFC East. Tebow is brought in to run the wildcat, and right now that is all that should be talked about. If he can run that successfully good, and it was a good trade by the Jets. If he ends up starting after one bad Sanchez game it makes you wonder what was the Jets plan the last 3 years
i just hope Sanchez and Tebow can get along and co-exist because Tebow definitely couldnt do it with Orton...
New Yorkers aren't that dumb? Have you read the morons that post here sometimes? The second Mark picks his nose or scratches his ass, Tebow will be called to come in to provide leadership.
