I agree with him, and yet, I still want to punch him in the face.

On the one hand, Namath is right -- this is more of a publicity stunt than a football move.

On the other hand, Namath needs to shut the fuck up. He'll always be a legend, but his current armchair analyst shtick got old years ago.

Namath is correct it is a publicity move and its also a football move. There is nothing wrong with Publicity and there is nothing wrong with picking up a dynamic young qb who is a proven winner and leader and who is a dual threat QB. So yes Joe its a publicity move but its also an acquisition of a very good young football player. Nice move Tanny !!!

I don't understand how Joe Namath feels the need to comment on anything Jets related.. but of course it is a publicity stunt, and it would've been one for any team who acquired him.

Will Joe apologize for this one day, or just hope nobody remembers he said it?

I have always been a fan of Joe. After watching the HBO special "Namath", I am even more of a fan. He can say whatever he wants as far as I am concerned.

who cares if namath wants attention? he is absolutely right, there's many more positions we need to fill instead of getting another QB, i don't care if it adds another depth to our offense, what i want is a wide receiver who is a threat down the field, a right tackle and others

I used to really respect Namath for what he's done for us, but at this point I'd really like nothing more than to punch him in the fucking face. He flat out wants the Jets to lose so he can cement his status as the unopposed 'hero' of the franchise.

Get lost old man, the Jets don't need you anymore.

Joe must feel the team slighted him in some way. At this point, he comes running like a Pavlovian dog any time an opportunity to slam the Jets presents itself.

Tebow is a tremendous athlete, proven winner, and a leader. He beat us, and his big plays beat many others. Can u ever imagine Sanchez making a halfime speech like Tebow did in college, or his energy energizing a team and a whole stadium. Bottom line Tebow is the best at what he does best and our new OC is known for the offense that Tebow runs best. I see nothing but great possibilities in choosing a player in which you know what he can do versus a draft pick that may never pan out( e.g. Gholston etc.)

So every Jets fan in the world can have an opinion but not the guy that won us our only ring?

Let him have his opinion and respect it... I agree with him btw.
