Nah I'm listening to schefter now. 4th and 6th and 2.5 for Tebow and 7th Tebow had the choice to pick where to go. He picked the Jets.
I'm less surprised that he turned down his hometown than I am that he turned down a surefire starting job (no way the Jags play Gabbert over him.)
Tebow is being underrated here by a lot. He's not a good passer, but he's not being brought here to be a passer. He's being brought here as a football player and an offensive weapon, and he's a very good football player and an awesome weapon to have. If we use him correctly, he can have a very positive impact on the team.
Very true, but then look at this way. Tebow would have it MADE playing for the Jaguars. Too much baggage will come with him here in NY. We shall see how this all pans out, but right now, I am not a fan.
I can get on board if he was brought in to be anything other than a QB; FB, H-back, ANYTHING. Otherwise I despise this trade.
haha what is this 'decisive plan.' According to Mehta's source the Jets had no plan on how to use him, they just wanted him because he was a 'winner.'
It's a good football move; we need a quality backup, we need good locker room characters, we need someone who can run the wildcat with sparano here, and his stock will only rise for potential re-trade value. The people who bash this are being ridiculous nitpickers.
Wait until Sanchez has his bad game, and the couple thousand idiot Jets fans and part media start calling for Tebowmania... Watch.
