Callers - and he's acknowledging/supporting these callers - are spewing stats about Tebow's Completion % and how he couldn't lead the Broncos down the field for 7 points against the Chiefs. The Jets won't be using Tebow for that purpose. They're bashing this move for reasons that won't even be part of the equation.
Goal line. Without plax our goal line offense will suffer. WIth tebow it could be even better. Kid is a bruiser I wish he would just decide to play HB and we could have our own Hillis.
He's ripping the Jets for being so excited to get Tebow that they announced the deal before ever reading the contract. He said a source in Denver stated they knew what was in the contract which is why the Broncos never announced the deal. Said the Broncos source stated, "Would you buy a house without doing an inspection first?" Fatty:"Yeah, the Jets are really on the ball."
If Denver knew what was in the contract and claims they didn't announce the trade because of that clause - what were they telling the Jets when this trade was being negotiated? There's such a thing as negotiating in good faith - not being open about something as material as a $5 million+ clause in a contract, and then sitting around hoping the Jets wouldn't discover it until it was too late, strikes me as bad faith.
Fatty: "The day started for the Jets with what looked like a bad trade. Now they are complete laughingstocks." "They look like total, inept fools." "They may be salvaged by their own ineptitude because they didn't read the contract."
the FACT that your alleged gm, who's expertise is in the cap, did not even read the contract is grounds for immediate termination. if i own the team, and give you authority to run it, why wuld i not expect you to check out every detail BEFORE you draft or trade for or sign a player? get a real gm, and cut this clown loose!:shit:
That's the thing - apparently the Jets GM (or someone in the front office) DID read the contract before ithe proposed trade was actually executed, hence the hold up. The real fiasco is the announcement of the trade as a done deal before the contract had been fully reviewed and/or the terms fully known. And if the person responsible for leaking/putting out notice that the trade was done was Mr. T, then I would wholeheartedly agree.
The NFL never received trade papers according to NFL Network. The Jets announced they had a deal in principle, nothing more.
Borderline. But with a story this big the media has to pick a villian. Which team are they gonna pick?
The Tebow move doesn't make any sense other than to sell jerseys tickets and to fill the stadium. Fat ass jack off Francesa was at least right about that. I think it's time for us to take the rose colored glasses off and admit this team has some serious issues in the ownership and FO categories that aren't going to be easily resolved.
Take the time to read the contract and you wouldn't have any issues. It's all on the Jets management.
