Because they have Peyton Manning. If Tebow was to be our starting QB I would freak the fuck out but hes not. He might not even be our back up QB. Hes here to be a gimmick for our offense not a starter. Something I think is worth a 4th round pick.
Tanny clearly needs better reading glasses. But personally I think Elway and crew should just eat the 5 million before it gets worse. You won't get better than a 4th. Just take it and run
Why are you still going on about his quarterbacking abilities? Did you spend three years saying what a shitty QB Brad Smith was? The Jets are not trying to get him so he can play quarterback.
Jason La Canfora @JasonLaCanfora Reply Retweet Favorite · Open We've seen some wacky Jets press conferences before, but could probably charge admittance to one having to explain botched Tebow deal
they only agreed to a trade in principal. the Jets FO prob didnt have all the details yet, the broncos didnt bring up the extra money on the phone. dont get so worked up...
1.2 million dollars it would cost us this year atleast thats what we thought before the whole 5 million thing. For 1.2 it would be a great deal since RB is a problem. And yes you are a joke.
They didn't agree to a trade more then verbally. The Jets aren't stuck taking Tebow and paying the 5 million.
Jags offered a 3rd and probably read the fine print saying fuk that.... So the BRONCOS said hey JETS, how about a 4th/6th for Tebow/7th and failed/chose to disclose the fine print hoping the JETS were too stupid... Guess what happened? lol
Don't give me that. Before even agreeing in principle, you need to know any particulars in a player's contract. Jeff Darlington on Twitter said that every other team knew of the $5 million kickback to the Broncos. This is just the Jets wanting to own the back page and it's blowing up in their faces.
Looks like this isn't going to happen after all. Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter More craziness filed to ESPN: Jaguars are back in the mix, seeing if they now can pull off a trade with Denver for Tim Tebow.
I said write the contracts, not read or analyze. If he let this slip through, I hope its because Woody pushed him to get this done quickly, not because he just missed it considering other teams saw the money. Tanny writes contracts interestingly, since it always seems to be advantegous to the Jets. I am not doubting him and the cap or how he writes contracts (like Brick having to block punts to get a multiplier or Sanchez winning 4 SB's etc), I have started to grow dubious of his football decisions. Thats why I'm hoping Woody was pushing for this to get done quickly, and not Tanny wanting to make this a quick deal.
