No matter how this turns out, Tannenbaum looks like an amateur. Don't you read the contract BEFORE the trade is announced? I read that Jacksonville didn't make the trade because of the problems in the contract. Now Tannenbaum looks like idiot either way. If he takes the contract, every GM in the league will look at him funny. If it doesn't happen, people will want to know why it was announced in the first place?
I understand the emotional aspect, but if youre a true fan you dont just say "fuck it I am out". I have dedicated too much of my own time and emotion to just give up on this team.
If Broncos want the full 5 million then there is 0 chance this deal is done. Sucks having Tebow would fix our HB problem and make our goal line offense better for I think would be 1.1 million cap hit this season.

For me, I dislike tebow not because of his politics, but because of all the hype a mediocre at best QB gets because of his politics. If he wasn't so vocal about his religion people wouldn't make such a big deal about him. People wouldn't ignore the fact that there was some incredibly fortuitous happenstance that occured in many of his "miracle wins". Like the entire steelers starting D-line hurt in the wildcard game, The run out of bounds and then fumble in the chicago game, or the fact that if jim leonhard doesn't miss a tackle by inches that drive against the jets is a 3 play game clinching safety. Maybe he does have god on his side and it is often better to be lucky than good, but his talent level as a QB is grossly overrated because he is an evangelist.
Me too. I bet there are a lot of real Jets fans that wish they could have stopped rooting for the team a long time ago. :grin: I don't get how you can just wake up and say, "Yeah, I don't think I'll root for my team anymore."

Tanny agree to the trade before Denver asked for the 5 million. If anything Tanny almost got the trade and left Denver paying the 5 million on the contract. That's what I got from the tweet "Jets-Broncos agreed to Tim Tebow trade before Denver asked NY to pay back portion of bonuses and salary already paid to Tebow. No deal yet." It means Tanny agreed to the deal before Denver asked.
