Use this thread to piss and moan about the organization, picks lost, etc. We're now stuck with him, so let's not derail discussion elsewhere about what the team direction will be in 2012 and how Tim Tebow can help.
I'm probably in the minority about this, and was initially was against this move, but the more I think about it, the more I'm intrigued. He'll be a good weapon to have in goal line and short-yardage situations, and will really open up the playbook in terms how we'll be able to utilize him. So I like it, under one condition—that Sanchez is the unquestioned starting quarterback, and that every bad pass he throws, the fans don't start clamoring for Tebow as this turns into a media circus. I think (or at least hope) Jets fans are smart enough to realize Sanchez is a much better quarterback and we need to give him time to succeed, but if not, things could get ugly. But it certainly won't hurt to have Sanchez pushed a little bit, and Tebow's a better offensive weapon than anyone we could have gotten in the fourth round. I think it's a very high-upside move, as long as Sporano and company can use Tebow effectively.
Tim Tebow perfectly follows our direction. We brought in Tony Sparano to restore a run-first ground and pound offense. Tebow is going to run, he's going to pound, and maybe once or twice a game, throw one long to keep the defense honest. That's all. Our direction has a team has nothing to do with giving Mark Sanchez X amount of snaps or X amount of throws. Far from it.
This is the worst move this franchise has made in a long time. There are some moves that even a total idiot can see as bad...this was one of them. I used to think mike tannenbaum was a good GM. Now I know he is not. He's not even close...He'll be gone in less than 2 years because of this move. Tebow fanatics will be calling for Sanchez's head after 2 games (win or lose) and the controversy will only be magnified because they are in NY. This is why this organization has been bad for so long. Moves like this can set you back 5 years. I just don't understand it...What a fucking stupid trade.
As I said elsewhere. His cap number THIS year is 1.1M. I don't think you can trade guaranteed money, that should be on Denver. Those numbers can be easily reworked, or easily removed if this doesn't work out.
lol, I have no issue with Tebow and kind of like him, but this makes no sense. Oh well, hopefully it works out.

I am right here with ya, I have been defending this move all morning. What people dont realize is Tebow made the BRONCOS the #1 rushing team in the NFL, if we can get half that production out of him with Wildcat plays, and whatever Sparano wants to incorporate, this will look beyond smart. I hate that dumbass fans will be chanting TEBOW when Sanchez does something bad but its something we will have to live with. It wont make sense to many now but in due time the ground and pound will look better than before.
