I haven't made a thread in a super long time, but I am currently stumped.

How has nobody made an actual poll yet?

In your opinion, what would you give up for Tim?

edit: I know I had an error in the poll. Whatever.

That can be a Ron Paul type option.

nothing, I wouldnt want him, it would just be more of a circus and more drama surrounding the jets.

Media says he will go today by noon for a third rounder. Doesn't matter what we think. I can see Jacksonville actually go to a second. If they get him they sell at least 12,000 more seats a game..put a value on that.

Give them a 5th. Give Sanchez a break late in the third quarter and lets have 15 minutes of Tebow running it up the gut.

I love how this is probably actually the thinking that they're using. Why wouldn't the idiots want to draft a 1st round Qb that might actually go on to win whole games and seasons on his own after developing for a couple years? That might put bodies in the seats for years to come. Trading back is an option believe it or not.

They don't want him as a QB anymore than the Jets do. Both teams want him for the wildcat period. Still, with him in Jacksonville even as only a wildcat specialist they will still sell those seats.

We have Sparano. He wants him.
The Jaguars supposedly weren't even interested earlier...

If we can get him for a 6th round pick, then sure -- give it a shot.

Anything more is an overpayment though (unless we actually plan to play him at QB, which would be going full retard.)

That's not true..we paid a 4th for Brad Smith and his only role was ever going to be as a niche player.

what role on this team would tebow serve? I don't get the fascination with him. I'll give him credit for being able to rally a team back in the 4th quarter. But to me he's a glorified HB. Pass

A glorified HB, Exactly. We're looking to spend $ on a player like BJGE, I don't know what kind of contract we would give Tebow but i'm expecting that a 2nd or 3rd string QB/Wildcat option will not be pulling as much of a purse as a RB1A like GreenEllis will in today's league. If we can get him for anything after a 6th round, and he takes a severe paycut I'd say this is a win for the team overall.

Aren't you just trying to fleece them now? I would think that we'd have to at least double the draft value of our offer if not more to get them to accept Scott in the package.

    I'd go Bart and a 5th.

Anything more than that and the value is shot.

Tebow already has a contract..he gets 1 mil, 1 mil, 600k over the next three years and then it goes up but only if he takes 40% of the snaps. He is ideal for the wildcat and less than dirt cheap.

zOMG! We must get Tebow! I think the 5 1st round picks are enough to get the deal done, but i would def throw in Revis and Mangold to seal the deal!!!11!1!!111
