Hmm Cheddar Bobs twitter suggest we offered a 6th rounder, its possible that theyre using him as the source. I dont see Tanny making this trade, unless Scott is in it
I call BS on Falco. I follow enough Jets "insiders" to know when something happens. Nothing is happening.
Yeah I saw that on IB too, he also said that the Browns offered a 5th.. so either way Im not sure how we come out on top. If Scott isnt in this trade... Oh Boy, thats gonna be bad.
Yepp, pretty much kills the rest of our cap space. And Scott going is the ONLY scenario that I support this trade ... Well unless we can include Hunter
Not gonna knock ya, since you said where it was from. Just not gonna buy into it until its somewhere legit lol.
I read before that we were offering a 6th rounder and a conditional for 2013. Jacksonville offering a 5th. I'm sure it's been discussed but I've been at work all day.. why not try to include Bart Scott since we're looking to get rid of him. Denver has DJ Williams with that suspension and they need an ILB.
Oh yeah I agree completely, but that's the message I got. I have it send me text messages with updates. It said the Jets just got off the phone with Denver and offered a 6th round pick for Tebow. Again, this source I am getting these messages from has been EXACTLY accurate the entire FA period. Very often, I knew the signings the night before they were released on the internet.
There is disaster written all over this. If Tannenbaum and Rex don't see the problems with this, then I serious question their judgment to be running this team. Can we please stop trying to win the back page.
I would not want Tebow if Denver offered us picks to take him. It would be the worst move by a Jets FO in Jets history. It will rip this team and the fan base apart. Why do you think Elway went so hard after Manning? Elway risked $95 million on a player with a broken neck because he knew bringing in one of the best QBs in the game was the only way to get rid of the Tebow problem! He is not an NFL QB and causes problems in the locker room and with the fan base. He is an extremely controversial and divisive player. That is the one thing this team does not need after last year.
Lets just pretend that this does happen. What statement can Rex make that squashes all hope of Tebow ever being an option at QB that could possibly stop the Tebow media circus from ruining our already uncertain locker room. As if any Mark Sanchez mistake, or non-perfection, is already blown out of proportion, this will multiply it by 1000, not even an exageration. Just to state again, I hope this doesnt happen because no such statement exists.
I'm all for this. Timmy would be our first play maker we've had since Leon Washington broke his leg against the Raiders several years ago. I don't see why he couldn't come in and have a similar role to Brad Smith's, maybe a little more expanded. The guy is an absolute weapon in goal line/short yardage situations. Also, do you have any doubt that if he went to the Pats he would just run all over us?!
This is the most ridiculous story in what has been the most ridiculous off-season to date. I imagine the media is salivating for this to happen. Jet fans, hopefully...are not.
That is an excellent question. I wish I knew the answer. A team that has a lot of issues doesn't need to be using more resources to acquire another person to run the wildcat.
Ok conspiracy time, the Jets prob have some under the counter deal with New York media that if the provide them with the opportunity to wirte some headlines about BS that will never happen, they throw some positive spin our way later. Manning? LMAO yea right, and now TEBOWMANIA comes to the BIg Apple! If the drag this one out, they can run this story for weeks.
Its funny how we still dont have a FS, RT, #2 WR and #1 RB and the FO decideds to put all of that aside and try and get a wildcat QB... SMH
