I didn't say he never did. That game was real bad for Sanchez.

I guess I thought he was saying he did all the time, when that's not true. My response wasn't really clear. I didn't mean to say he never gives up on plays to avoid hits. I don't get where you think I suggested he was a modern day Dick Butkus. Come on. He's certainly tough given all the hits he's taken and kept on ticking.

Just heard from source inside the Jets' organization. Regarding Tim Tebow: "We are players in the Tebow race." #nfl

Whoever says they would rather have Tebow than Sanchez is a straight up moron and should be banned....

Here is the problem with my shtick being out of angles - one of the worst starters in the NFL is still our qb.

I just want Tebow to be brought in here and to beat out Sanchez now. That would be perfect.

    God help us.

RT @JennyVrentas: Team source says Jets are, indeed, in play for Tim Tebow. #nyj

RT @TheJetsStream: I've been told that the Jets have legitimate interest in acquiring Tim Tebow. #nfl

Right, because Sanchez is so clearly better than Tebow and it is ludicrous to compare the 2.

Again, I want Tebow here and given a chance to beat out Sanchez.

With a fair competition, Tebow might beat out Sanchez for the job. So, to think anyone who wants Tebow over Sanchez is a "moron" is a joke.

if the Jets want Tebow it is likely for nothing more than to come in and run the Jesuscat. if having Brad Smith here to do so didn't cause locker room strife having Tebow won't either.

Great! Our already fragile minded quarterback that took offense to a 40+ year old Qb possibly starting over him will be devastated going into the year!

Hopefully we're just driving the price up for the Pats.

Sanchez had the 2nd least amt of QB pressures of any QB that started all 16 games but he took sacks at an alarming rate of 23% of every time he is pressured. Which is more than double other QBs. He was ranked last in the league in perfomance when pressured. The reason is because he panics and gives up on plays when under pressure. I am not saying Tebow is a good QB just that he is a football player something Sanchez is not. He will take hits and try to make plays under pressure. Not the kind of guy Sanchez will want as a back-up as the comparisons between their toughness will be constantly drawn. It is much better for Sanchez and the Jets that he does not have a big media name as a back-up where the media and players will call for his benching.

The difference is that tens of thousands of fans weren't chanting "we want Smith" every time Sanchez threw an interception. If we bring in Tebow, the pressure on Sanchez will be enormous.

That said, I don't see what that's a problem. If Sanchez can't handle the pressure of having a backup who could steal his job, then he doesn't really deserve to be starting in the first place.

This can't be happening, can it?

We actually are showing public interest in Tim "Baby Jesus" Teblow?

Yes, adding a sub 50% passer to a club full of sub 60% passers is a great move.

I see the master plan. Tebow runs the "ground and pound", gets us into multiple third and longs where we insert Sanchez. Wayne Hunter does what he does best and lets his guy through with ease, said pass rusher mauls Sanchez until he is physically unable to stand up. We then throw Sanchez on IR and release him without looking like total ***holes. RR can then be 100% ground and pound with Baby Jesus at the helm.

    BRILLIANT!

This thread can't be taken seriously until pro-Tebowners explain why he's worth all the negative attention

The Jesus Ground and Pound! We got Sparano, it would make sense. If it happens, I hope he doesn't throw many passes.
