Everybody says it will be a 5th-7th round pick that lands him. I think the Jets should do it. They already have their backup QB. Tebow would be coming in here as an H Back or Smith type 3rd QB option. I'm sure they will do much worse with those 5th-7th picks anyway.
i don't think tebow gets traded to another team to be anything other than a qb. for a lot of reasons.. one being that he is a qb.. but mostly because if there is at least 1 team that is willing to give him a try at qb, they will offer more than any team wanting him to be something else.
"TANNY!!!!! WE NEED A BACK UP QB TO PUSH SANCHEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" What about Tebow? "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! SANCHEZ WILL FREAK OUT IF HE SUCKS AND FANS CLAMOR FOR TEBOW!!!!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!" hahaha It'd be funny if it wasn't so funny.
Ground and Pound Specialist available, we should get a QB to push Mark. I bet Mark reads more playbills than scouting reports.
Antonio Cromartie @ACromartie We don't need Tebow. We sell out every home game let him go to Jacksonville Tampa or Miami. Our wildcat offense can b ran by J. Kerley or Joe McKnight we straight
Seems to me you could buy tickets up till game time for every game last year..his entire rant is based on a premise that isn't correct. I would not be at ll surprised if isn't Johnson that started those internal talks for just that reason. Granted we sell most of them but not all of them.
The last time Cromartie commented on who he wanted and didn't want we ended up with who we didn't want. Welcome to NY Tebow!
Cro finally figured out What abortions are so He doesnt want tebow around Cro should look at the bright side Free circumcisions for his brood
While I agree Tebow could be put in many positions, one thing to consider is that he's never been trained for any of those positions. That means wasting a lot of coaching time to teach a player a brand new position. I think that's easiest in Denver where the coaching staff is familiar with him but it seems the trade is likely. One other issue is whether he will even consider playing another position. I guess I could see him agreeing to run or receive but how is he going to run to a camera to kneel when there's a touchdown if he wasn't involved in it if he isn't QB or scoring the TD? It would take the ridiculousness to a new level.
I really hope that if we grab him, its purely to help us trade up in the draft to get Kalil No I'm not letting that go haha.
Adding Tebow creates the potential for locker room drama and the players and the media turning against Sanchez. Tebow may be a very bad pocket QB and self righteous fool but unlike Sanchez he is a football player. Tebow is a tough guy that does not avoid hits while Sanchez plays scared and gives up on plays to avoid hits. Tebow attempts to make plays under pressure while Sanchez folds under pressure. Given the hype Tebow will get, Sanchez's already shaky standing among players and Tebow's toughness being something payers will respect he would have the potential to cause quite a bit of drama.Bringing in a guy like Tebow has the potential to split the locker room against Sanchez if he continues to play scared. Not to mention the media, who will be be doing their best to run any "play Tebow now" story they can run. Tebow stories are money for the media and given a chance they will do their best to run Sanchez out of town to see Tebow play. All in all Tebow sounds like bad option for the Jets and Sanchez. We are much better with a low key name like Stanton who will not be a rallying point for the media and players against Sanchez.
I have to admit that a Tebow based wildcat would intrigue me, especially since whose our OC now, oh yeah the guy who pioneered it That said, I don't know if Tebow can throw it as well as Brad Smith or Ronnie Brown
Sanchez has the most 4th quarter comebacks in the league since he entered the league. He folds under pressure? He has the 6th highest post season QB rating in NFL history right behind Joe Montana, helping to lead his team to the 2nd most road playoff wins in NFL history by a QB. He folds under pressure? Sanchez gives up on plays to avoid hits? Sanchez isn't tough? There were only 4 quarterbacks sacked more than him last year. He didn't miss a game. There are plenty of things you could legitimately take shots at Sanchez for but it's clear when you post absolute garbage like this that you're not being fair.
Re-watch last year's Baltimore game, and then tell me that Sanchez never gives up on plays to avoid hits. Sanchez isn't a pathetic little bitch like Noam says, but he's also not some modern day Dick Butkus like you suggest. As usual, the truth lies somewhere in between.
