We had to get this deal done after Nelson ditched us, but what's the O/U on number of games he plays this year???
Finally...wouldn't want to be Gronk this year. Of course NE just signed another wideout (Stallworth)..now they have about 5.
Not sure I like the move but 1 year was the way to go if they made it. I'm tired of important cogs getting hurt and dropping out at bad times. Hiring a guy who can't stay on the field just reeks of Jets-ness.
Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter Close LaRon Landry reached agreement with the Jets on a one-year, $4 million deal. Good move. Looks cheap and only a one year deal. That is nice because of his past injuries.
It does, but really what other options were there? To do nothing? At least have to TRY and take the flier on a guy who hits like a mack truck
wooohooo.....we finally got a safety!!!!! yes!!!!!!!!!! hope he can knock out gronkfagkowski next year
Why? Gronk still dwarfs this guy. If you watched NFL network last year would would have seen this guy running over LBs much bigger than Landry. It is a good signing, but he isn't going to cover, hit or stop a guy like Gronk. Coverage is his second biggest weakness behind health.
If he had three teams interested he had to have decent medical checkouts. A shot at him being healthy is better than any safety on the roster so fuck it.
Gotta like it at this point as thin as the options are. Now just please stay healthy! Hopefully this also means they can pass on Barron in the 1st...
