11:05 AM, 11:20 AM. I swear sometimes I'm prophetic. Please be good. Don't be bad. He decided to come to the Jets. He didn't decide to go away from the Jets. Because the Jets are a fine franchise. They have a likeable player's head coach. They have proximity to New York City and all its perks. They have one of the strongest core defensive units in the league...maybe the strongest by simply adding Nelson and whatever they can reasonably expect to add through the draft. Because you're not a capitalist pig that is going to go live in bumfuck for 5 years because of an extra million dollars when you'd already be making many of them in New York. Because it's right. JUST DO IT.
If we do miss out on Nelson, which other free safeties are out there? Because Landry can't cover for shit.
I think he made his mind up, but is waiting for his ESPN special to announce it. And I agree, Steiny sounds exactly like Cheddard Bob with this kinda stuff
Has any other free agent "announced" where he is signing? Where do the Jets get these guys? All others just signed and then announced, didn't they?
Damn!!! allow me to take the hook out of my mouth while i apologize to my wife for knocking her off the couch to get to the channel changer....hate it when that happens...
Ahhh! An announcement that says there's gonna be an announcement! I mean who wouldn't want the opportunity to play with Revis.
Its possible we could get old Ed Reed next season.... Would much rather have Nelson right now though. Come on Jets lock this guy up for 3-5 years..
No, this isn't quite right. The Noon special is Nelson announcing when the announcement special will be and who the musical act will be. Sources say it will be NELSON!
Its the end of FA week 1, and the jets havent signed anyone of significance, people should be going nuts
I've come to peace with whatever his decision is. Fact remains, a safety in his prime like himself would be a fool to turn down the opportunity to play in Rex Ryan's scheme, beside a potential all time corner duo, IN New York metro. If the Jets fail on Nelson they'll move on to Landry & perhaps take the Nelson money to pursuade Jameel Mclain. That way they're filling another hole. One safety I noticed that is still a UFA is Tyrell Johnson from Minny. He was a highly regarded player in his draft year & went high 2nd. I haven't seen him play much, but whats the scoop?
