So when Sanchez makes a mistake it's his fault. And when the other elements of the offense fuck up its also Sanchez's fault? Gotcha. You were probably saying the same bullshit about Eli Manning after his third year. Guy got better. Believe it or not, that happens sometimes.
Sanchez is correct. Anybody on the team who is anonymously dissing his teammates through the media is a gutless idiot and a loser.
There is a difference between that and being gutless. Allowing the affects of the hits to alter his game is something different. To me gutless means that someone is doing something like coming out of the game because of something they could play through.
If anybody on the team was angry with Sanchez but too scared to tell it to his face or have a discussion about it, they aren't Jets and don't belong on the team. Simple as. Part of me thinks Plaxico and Mason have something to do with it. I doubt it's anyone who's currently under contract. Calling Sanchez lazy is 100% false, though, regardless of his struggles.
I agree. But having Plax and Holmes a super bowl MVP that are not exactly team players makes that tough and thats why things blew up last season. I think if the Jets would have went the route of building the WR position in the draft or bringing in lower profile guys that are team players Sanchez may have been a little further along in his development. Looks like they learned their lesson for now so hopefully he takes command of the huddle and the offense better this season.
Down by 21 at half time to end the game short of coming back, losing by 5, yes he almost brought us back.
Like almost hitting Welker for a huge play and then having your wife cry about to reporters? Like getting the ball back with 1:30 to go (like you begged for BTW) and almost completing a hail mary?
this is surely not the way you want to go about getting guys to follow you. he seems like less of a leader now after saying this than he did when he just kept quiet. so basically all of you guys just walk right up to anyone you have an issue with and tell them right to their face every single time? thats just completely unrealistic.
I think it just shows that the beef isn't over. This lockerroom was a hot mess and the team has no real leaders. Sanchez is seen as the overrated golden boy coddled by the franchise. Tone Time clearly was not ready to be a captain last year. THe chemistry was just as horrible and important as Sanchez' inability to read a defense. I hope something is done about it, but I have not seen much yet. Sanchez and Holmes actually speaking to each other is a decent start.
this proves to me that this is still on marks mind, if things get a little rough this season will Sanchez have the confidence in himself knowing a few of the guys out there aren't fully behind him??? it's worrying
Well he was asked about it in an interview. If he tried to dodge the question, the reaction from the media would have been even worse and kept this story going.
